Welcome,
I'm so glad you're taking this time for yourself today.
This meditation will guide you through a values-based decision process,
One that integrates your strategic thinking,
Your intuition and your deeper alignment.
Often when we try to think our way through important decisions,
We make lists,
We analyze options and we seek advice.
And yet,
Your body has been processing this decision long before your mind has sat down to work it all out.
So the most powerful decisions are not made from the mind alone.
They come from knowing how to access your full intelligence.
So let's take a moment to find a comfortable position.
Soften your gaze and allow your eyes to close if that feels comfortable.
Begin by noticing the natural rhythm of your breath.
The inhale and the exhale and the quiet space in between.
Let each breath bring you fully into this moment,
Not into the future outcome and not in your past decisions,
But right here,
Right now,
Where clarity becomes available.
This isn't a time to weigh pros and cons or to predict outcomes.
It's time to align with your values and your vision and to align with the leader that you are becoming.
Now,
Bring to mind a decision that you're currently facing,
A real one and one that carries weight for you right now.
Perhaps it's a strategic decision,
Perhaps it's an opportunity or a conversation that needs to be had.
Let the decision that you're facing come into your awareness now,
But instead of trying to solve it,
Simply observe it.
Observe it as if you were a trusted advisor,
A wiser part of yourself,
Someone who can see it clearly without urgency or judgment.
As you hold this decision in your awareness,
Try to notice where it lives in your body.
Is there tension somewhere right now?
Perhaps a tightness,
A pull,
Or maybe a feeling of heaviness somewhere,
Or perhaps even a sense of openness,
A little channel of energy flowing somewhere.
There's nothing to fix here.
You're simply listening and observing.
Now gently bring to mind the values that matter most to you,
Not what sounds good and not what's expected of you,
But the values that define how you want to lead,
How you want to show up,
And what truly matters to you in the long term.
A couple might have popped into your mind.
You might name one silently to yourself.
Whatever the values that came up for you,
Be present with them right here in this moment.
You can almost visualize them as a compass right here in front of you,
Steady and grounding.
Now bring the first option into your awareness.
See yourself choosing the first option.
Open the door to it and step through.
Imagine yourself living it out.
You have made this decision and you are carrying it out.
As you do this,
Notice what happens in your body.
Do you feel any sense of expansion or more contraction?
Does it feel aligned with who you want to be?
Does it feel aligned with the life that you want to lead?
Is there energy here?
Or maybe resistance?
There's no need to interpret what's coming up.
Just notice.
Explore how this feels,
What it might look like,
And now gently let it go.
Take a slow inhale.
Hold it and release.
Now bring the second option into your awareness.
Open the second door.
See yourself choosing it,
Opening it,
And walking through it.
Picture yourself living this decision and leading through it.
And now notice.
What's happening in your body this time?
What happens when this option meets your insights and your values?
Is there a sense of congruence?
Or is there a sense of tension?
As you picture it,
Do you feel a quiet sense of knowing?
Or is there perhaps a subtle but clear misalignment?
There could also be a full body yes,
And that is absolutely okay.
Whatever is coming up is absolutely okay.
Now it's time to gently let it go.
Take a deep inhale.
Hold it.
And release.
Bring your awareness to all three sources of intelligence you have available to you in this moment.
Your mind,
Your body,
And the deeper knowing.
What is your thinking telling you based on what you just experienced?
A lot of thoughts might be coming up right now and that is okay.
What did your body reveal as you went through the two doors?
Was there a distinct difference?
As you pictured yourself going into either decision,
Was there one that felt more aligned with what truly matters to you and who you want to be and how you want to show up?
This might not be the easiest path.
It might not be the shortest one.
And it might not even be the safest,
Most easily controlled path.
But was there one that felt more congruent with the person you are choosing to be?
Allow that to come up for you now.
Let the answer emerge without forcing it.
You may already have a very clear sense at this point of which one is right.
This is what values-based decision-making feels like.
It doesn't have to be completely certain,
But it is grounded and clear.
It is not the absence of risk,
But the presence of alignment.
And the beautiful thing is that the more you go through this process,
The more you start to build trust,
Not just in your own decision-making,
But in the actions you take so that you can become more and more of the person you most want to be in all arenas of your life.
Now begin to bring your awareness back to your breath.
Feel the rise and fall of your breathing.
When you're ready,
Bring some gentle movement back into your body.
Wiggle your fingers.
Maybe you roll your shoulders very gently.
Another deep breath.
And when you're ready,
Softly open your eyes.
Before moving on to the rest of your day,
I invite you to take a moment to capture what came through for you.
Taking a moment to journal or just note down what came up can really help with taking aligned action.
Thank you for practicing with me today.
