Hello beautiful soul.

Welcome to Peaceland Haven.

I'm your guide Natalie Brown,

And you are welcome to this safe and comforting space.

Today I'll guide you through a meditation to the lyrics of the song made famous by Louis Armstrong called What a Wonderful World.

It was written by Bob Thiel and George Wise.

If you would like to meditate with me on love,

Kindness,

And compassion for Mother Earth and fellow humans,

Then join me in this meditation.

Due to copyright reasons,

I won't be playing the music during this meditation,

But I have linked it below and put the lyrics as well if you want to listen to it.

We'll be focusing on the words in the song in this particular meditation.

I wanted to share this song meditation with you because it's one of my favorite songs.

I feel like the world isn't so wonderful.

In fact,

When you look at the history of the song,

It came at a time in the late 1960s when things were not so wonderful in the world or for the men who made it famous.

It's actually quite a juxtaposition when you think about it.

But this is why it's a favorite for me personally,

Because it centers me.

It brings me back to thinking about the fact that while some terrible things do happen in the world daily,

There are very wonderful things and people to appreciate and love.

Sometimes we just need to spend some time in contemplation of what is good and beautiful to balance out the not so great things and people we sometimes encounter daily.

Louis Armstrong himself was quoted as saying before a live performance of this song,

Some of you young folks been saying to me,

Hey pops,

What do you mean what a wonderful world?

How about all the moors all over the place?

You call them wonderful?

Armstrong said as he introduced a live performance of the song,

Words which are best read with his gravelly delivery in mind.

But how about listening to old pops for a minute?

Seems to me it ain't the world so bad,

But what we're doing to it.

And all I'm saying is,

See what a wonderful world it would be if only we'd give it a chance.

Love baby,

Love.

That's the secret.

So today I'd like us to reflect in meditation and have gratitude for the earth,

For nature,

And the people on mother earth.

Are you ready?

Let's begin.

Find a quiet and comfortable place where you won't be disturbed for the duration of this meditation.

You consider lie down in a relaxed and comfortable position.

Now close your eyes and take a few deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth.

Feel your body relax with each exhale.

I see trees of green,

Red roses too.

I see them bloom for me and you,

And I think to myself,

What a wonderful world.

I see skies of blue and clouds of white,

The bright blessed day,

The dark sacred night,

And I think to myself,

What a wonderful world.

The colors of the rainbow,

So pretty in the sky,

Are also on the faces of people going by.

I see friends shaking hands saying,

How do you do?

They're really saying,

I love you.

I hear babies cry.

I watch them grow.

They'll learn much more than I'll ever know.

And I think to myself,

What a wonderful world.

Yes,

I think to myself,

What a wonderful world.

Now,

Bring awareness to your heart center,

The area around your chest.

Visualize a bright green light emanating from this area,

Symbolizing acceptance,

Love,

Compassion,

And sincerity.

With each inhale,

Imagine that you are breathing in gratitude for the earth Imagine that you are breathing in gratitude for the earth and all its natural wonders,

The oceans,

Mountains,

Forests,

And all the creatures that call it home.

With each exhale,

Imagine sending love and healing energy to the planet and its inhabitants,

Including all the people who call it home.

Take a moment to reflect on all the things you're grateful for in your life,

From the people you love to experiences that have shaped you into the person that you are today.

As you continue to breathe,

Imagine a bright white light of pure love and gratitude surrounding you,

Protecting and supporting you on your journey.

Visualize the world as a peaceful and harmonious place,

Where all people live in harmony with each other and with the earth.

See yourself as a part of this vision,

Playing a positive role in creating a better world for everyone.

See yourself as a part of this vision,

Playing a positive role in creating a better world for everyone.

Now,

Imagine yourself standing in a wide open space under a bright blue sky.

The sun is shining and you feel its warm rays on your skin.

You look up and see the blue sky stretching out above you,

Clear and expansive.

You begin to hear the sound of birds chirping and singing around you,

And it brings a smile to your face.

The joyful sound fills your heart with happiness and peace.

As you take a few more steps,

You come across a group of children playing and laughing.

Their joyous energy and carefree spirit make you feel lighthearted and happy.

You stop for a moment to watch them,

And their laughter fills the air.

You look around and see people being loving towards each other,

Holding hands,

And smiling to each other.

You see acts of kindness and compassion,

And it fills you with a sense of hope and positivity.

As you take a few more deep breaths,

You feel a sense of gratitude and appreciation for the beauty of life and the people around you.

You feel a sense of joy and happiness.

As you continue walking,

You come across a beautiful garden filled with bright red roses.

The sweet fragrance of the flowers fills the air,

And you take a deep breath,

Enjoying the pleasant aroma.

You keep walking,

And suddenly,

You see a beautiful rainbow appearing in the sky.

It's vibrant colors creating a stunning contrast with the blue sky.

It's a mesmerizing sight,

And it fills your heart with a sense of wonder and awe.

As day turns into night,

The sky transforms into a starry night with thousands of glittering stars sparkling above you.

Take a few more deep breaths now,

Feeling the love and gratitude filling your heart and radiating out into the world around you.

Let's repeat some affirmations as we close this meditation practice together.

I am connected to Mother Earth and grateful for all she provides.

I honor Mother Earth with my actions,

Treating her with respect and care.

I recognize the beauty and wonder of Mother Earth,

And it brings me joy and peace.

I am mindful of my impact on Mother Earth and make choices that support her health and well-being.

I am a steward of Mother Earth,

Working to protect and preserve her for future generations.

When you're ready,

Gently open your eyes,

Inhale deeply,

And take a few moments to appreciate the present moment and the beauty of the world around you.

Deliberately set an intention to carry this feeling of gratitude and love with you throughout your day,

And to make a conscious effort to show kindness and compassion to others.

And compassion to those around you.

Thank you for taking the time to meditate with me today.

May you carry this feeling of gratitude and love with you throughout your day,

And may it bring you peace and happiness.

Thank yourself for taking the time to take care of you today.

Until we meet again,

My friends,

Take care of your soul,

Love yourself,

Know you are loved,

And show love to others.
