Hello and welcome.
My name is Natalie Barney.
I'm a Reiki master,
Spiritual teacher,
And intuitive jewelry designer.
Today,
I'll be guiding you through a simple Reiki self-healing practice.
Using the eight traditional hand positions.
Reiki is a form of energy healing that originated in Japan.
The word Reiki is a combination of the two Japanese words Rei and Reiki.
Meaning universal,
And ki,
Meaning life energy.
During this practice.
You'll place your hands on different areas of your body.
And allow Reiki to flow wherever it is most needed.
You don't need to be trained in Reiki to experience the many benefits of its practice.
Before we begin,
Make yourself comfortable.
And ensure that you won't be disturbed for the next 10 to 12 minutes.
Place both hands.
On your heart.
In what is called the gassho position.
We will be reciting.
And the five Reiki precepts.
But before we do so,
Take time for a slow,
Gentle breath in.
And a long breath out.
And again.
Gentle breath in.
And slow breath out.
Just for today,
I will not anger.
Just for today,
I will not worry.
Just for today.
I do my work honestly.
Just for today.
I respect all living beings.
Just for today.
I count my blessings.
Take a moment to consider what you would like to receive.
During this self-healing practice.
This might be.
Sending healing or comfort to a part of your body that feels tense.
Painful.
Or perhaps.
You simply wish to feel more balanced,
Peaceful,
Or grounded.
Allow.
Your intention to arise naturally.
Then say the following.
I ask my guides and my higher self.
To allow and support this healing.
May this healing be for the highest good of all.
Now,
Imagine a beautiful white bubble of light.
Surrounding your entire body.
This light is here to protect and support you during this practice.
Now affirm with me.
That only positive healing energies.
Are present during this healing.
For the highest good of all.
Imagine a column.
Of white light descending from above you.
Through your crown chakra.
Was the second column of light.
Rises from the earth beneath you.
Through your earth star chakra.
Allow these energies to meet within your heart.
Filling your body with light.
In your mind or aloud.
Say,
Reiki on.
In this practice.
We'll move through eight hand positions connected to the main chakra,
Centers of the body.
We'll begin around the upper energy centres before moving down through the throat,
Heart,
Solar plexus sacral and base chakras.
Should you wish to add any extra positions on the body,
Please feel free to stop this video.
And do so.
We will stay on each position roughly for about one minute.
Now,
Position hands,
Place your hands around your head.
Over your eyes.
This is.
The third eye chakra.
Now,
Second position.
Is at the back of your head.
And it is also the third eye chakra as well as the crown chakra.
We are moving.
And putting our hands over our ears.
And this is connected to thee.
Throat chakra.
Place both of your hands over the base of your throat.
So this is the crown chakra again.
Place your hands on either side of your chest.
As we connect to the heart chakra.
Facebook fans.
At the base of your ribs.
We are connecting now to the solar plexus chakra.
Place both hands.
Just below your belly button.
We are now.
Connecting to the sacral chakra.
And finally.

For the base chakra,
You can either put your hands on either side of your hips,
If you feel comfortable,
You can just place them.
Where your tummy starts to meet your thighs.
Whatever feels most comfortable for you.
Now place your hands gently on the floor.
On your lap.
Take time to take a few deep breaths.
In.
Hands back in gassho.
