Hello and welcome to this meditation.

Today's practice is aimed at changing our habits.

We'll use the visualization technique as well as breathing.

Find a comfortable position sitting or lying down and try to relax your mind and body into the meditation.

First of all,

Try to observe any thoughts that might be present in your mind.

Just let them be,

Acknowledge them and kindly let them go.

If they come again,

Acknowledge them and let them go.

Do not involve into inner dialogue with your thoughts.

Then try to observe your bodily sensations.

Scan your body from top starting from the head,

Then to shoulders and neck.

Observe the sensation in the chest area,

Your stomach,

Your lower back,

Hips,

Your legs and your feet.

Try to relax and breathe through any tension that you might feel.

And if you feel your position is not comfortable enough,

Try lying down without falling asleep.

I want you to take a deep inhale and a deep exhale.

A few more inhales and exhales.

Now I want you to think of a few habits that you would really like to change.

It might be just one habit that really annoys you or one or two habits that you acknowledge in your life but would rather get rid of them.

Take a few moments and choose one or two things that you would like to work on today.

With the next inhale,

Let it go.

Now I want you to imagine a remote house somewhere in the countryside.

It might be a house that you used to live in or visit your grannies or just any imaginary house.

Imagine yourself in this house,

Walking outside,

Smelling the flowers,

Feeling the wind on your body and being absolutely worry-free.

You like being in that house.

It gives you a feeling of strength,

Peace and quiet.

Take a deep inhale and exhale.

And just feel the unity with the nature while you're being at that house.

Nothing worries you too much.

There are no problems in your life.

Everything is just as it should be.

But your time at that house is limited.

You can only be there for a while.

You enjoy being at that house because it fills you in with positive energy and good thoughts.

However,

When your time is out,

You need to go back.

And when going back,

You have a very old road.

That road is very bumpy,

Very noisy,

Not really comfortable and it gives you a lot of stress to travel that road.

And you really wish there would be a different road.

With no choice,

You take that road every time you go to the magical house.

Now one day you wake up at the house and you discover that there is a new road.

You go outside and you see a sign leading to a new road.

But suddenly you feel inside that you're tempted to use the old road because you're scared of the unknown.

You're not familiar with the new road.

You don't know what to expect there.

You don't know how dangerous it is,

How difficult it is to ride on that road.

And your first thought in your mind is that you're used to traveling by old road even though you don't like it.

This is just something you do every now and then.

But now you have to choose.

You can go and travel by the old road or maybe try and discover the new road.

You go to the new road and you feel somehow worried inside.

How would it be?

I feel nervous.

I don't know what to do.

I don't know what to expect.

But then the time goes by and the way is really smooth.

There are no bumps.

It's quiet.

Nobody knows about the new road.

It's only you.

And it feels so easy.

And you arrive at your destination.

Really quick,

Forgetting about all the time you spend on the road.

The next time you go to the house,

You're still doubting the old road,

The new road.

You're not really accustomed to the new road yet.

And every time you're tempted to choose because you still remember how it was going by the old road.

But the more you travel by the new road,

The more you feel comfortable,

The more you feel at ease.

The more you feel that this road is something that was always there.

And traveling by that road is the way it should be.

The time goes by,

More people know about the new road and actually nobody uses the old road anymore.

The trees grow in there,

More animals arrive and in a while it becomes a wild forest.

And the old road is forgotten.

Take a deep inhale.

And exhale.

And slowly go back to your physical body.

Now compare your bad habits to the old road.

Something that you're used to.

Something that feels there is no escape doing it.

Something that feels so natural you can't think of the way to change it.

But what about the new road?

Can you find something in your life that would play the same role as the new road?

Something of a hobby or of a behavior type.

Something that would feel really differently.

Something that would make you nervous at first but eventually will turn out a success.

And make you forget your old habits and change them for the good ones.

Thank you for this practice.

And Namaste.
