Today,
We're going to do a cord-cutting meditation.
Cord-cutting meditation is very powerful for releasing attachment to energies that are no longer serving.
Energies,
Meaning whether it's a person,
A situation,
Maybe a fight that you got into,
A feeling that was attached to a situation that is just not serving you,
Or maybe your relationship to certain aspects of your life or certain patterns that you feel like you're stuck with.
I love using cord-cutting meditation for basically releasing attachment.
Today personally,
I will be releasing attachment to a part of myself that I feel has been holding me back.
I'm going to visualize her and release attachment to her.
Usually when you release attachment to something or someone,
It can be with the intention of releasing them from your life,
But it doesn't necessarily have to be.
It can also be for the intention of clearing a situation or clearing an energy or clearing a pattern that is no longer serving.
With that said,
Please go ahead and find a comfortable seat,
And let's get started.
Go ahead and sit back,
Relax,
Have your spine aligned,
Or you can always lay down if that feels comfortable for you.
You can either close your eyes or keep them open and pick a point of focus,
Whatever allows you to be more present.
Tune into your breath and the sensations of your breath and find a sensation that feels absolutely amazing for you.
Maybe you notice the rise and fall of your chest or belly,
Or maybe you notice the space that your breath creates inside your body that feels liberating.
Sometimes when the world doesn't give us the space that we need,
We know we can always create it with our breath.
We're drawing beautiful,
Deep,
Loving breaths into your body,
And slow and steady exhales,
Let it go.
Just feel into the experience of your breath.
Let's go ahead and deepen the breath a little bit more,
Taking it down to your belly.
Allow your belly to expand.
Deep loving breaths into your belly,
Expand your belly,
And slow and steady exhales,
Let it go.
Do that a couple more times at your own pace.
Go ahead and sense or feel the situation or the energy or the person that you want to release attachment to,
Or the pattern.
I'm just going to call it energy to keep it simple.
Bring that energy to mind,
To your awareness,
And sense what you want to release attachment to.
Maybe it's a feeling,
Maybe it's a pattern.
Allow yourself to get more clear on that.
Energy,
Maybe finding gratitude even for that person,
For that situation,
For yourself.
Knowing that everyone involved did their best to the best of their capacity at the time with the tools that they had and the awareness that they had.
Giving compassion,
Understanding,
And setting an intention to release with gratitude.
Go ahead and observe this energy and notice its connection to you.
Notice the cord that is connected to you from this energy.
Now go ahead and select your device for cutting this energy.
Maybe it's a knife,
Maybe it's a sword,
Maybe it's scissors,
Maybe it's fire.
Whatever feels good to you.
I'm going to choose a fire sword.
You can choose whatever feels good to you.
Go ahead and cut that and feel into the liberation and the freedom of you receiving your energy back to you.
So call upon your energy to come right back to you,
Back into your body.
Notice as it swirls within you,
You have now been liberated from this energetic connection.
Give so much gratitude for whatever you received from that situation.
Blessing and expanded awareness.
Whatever you received from that,
Give it gratitude and let it go into your own heart space and give yourself gratitude.
Tune into yourself and your needs.
For releasing attachment to this energy and for liberating yourself and being free.
