Welcome to this guided heart meditation.
Please take this time to find a comfortable position.
You may want to be seated in a chair or a cushion or even lying on the floor.
If you choose lying on the floor,
Check in with your low back and find some support under the knees if there's any discomfort in your low back.
Allow for there to be a cushion supporting your head so that the weight of the skull is supported.
And just settling into whatever chosen intentional posture.
Make any shifts that are really encouraging an easeful seat,
Not a sense of rigidity,
But a sense of fully connecting with the ground below,
The space around you,
And the sky above.
Notice how everything is beginning to slow down as you settle in more and more.
Any busyness from your day,
What's coming for,
Any to-do's can be set aside as you open into the sacred time for yourself.
We move now from the thinking,
The thinking head,
Into the feeling heart.
With the desire to connect with gratitude and love in the heart center,
We recognize that this is the realm of feeling.
As we feel into the experience of our heart now,
Noticing the physical heart pulsing,
The heartbeat.
Perhaps sensing your breath originating from the heart center,
The ebb and the flow.
Now the shape shifts the body.
And we can connect with the selfless love,
The selfless love from the space of the energetic heart.
And I welcome you to tap into offering love today.
Offering your love to someone that you find easy to love.
We begin with someone that's easy to love,
Knowing that that is going to strengthen our muscle.
Love is a practice.
And then we choose to step into this practice.
So we bring to mind someone that you love dearly and are not currently in any conflict with.
And for some of us,
This could even be a pet.
It could even be someone that's passed on.
So just take a moment to present here in the heart who you would like to offer love to.
Someone that's easy to love.
And sometimes more than one person will pop into your mind,
Into this heart space.
And choose the first person that came for you,
Or animal or being.
And feeling from the space of the heart that you're offering love to this individual with no strings attached,
No expectations.
And knowing that there is no right or wrong for how this feels for you.
We all sense our energy differently.
And as much as you can,
Let the feeling come to you.
There's no trying.
It's opening to allowing that flow of love to be a genuine offering,
The selfless gift.
Opening to that flow.
Offering the love.
And if your mind wanders to something,
Simply bring it back to the heart.
And you can even bring the image of that individual back in if necessary.
Just for a moment.
And then let that image go and stay with the feeling.

And gently release the image of the individual as you've been working with their image.
And gently allow your awareness to return to your breath.
Perhaps sense that lightness of heart that's available.
And having offered the love that's in your heart for another,
We know that that ripples out beyond.
So if there is a prayer practice or anything that you'd like to connect with a higher source,
Offering that energy to the universe,
To God,
To the highest expression that you communicate with.
Knowing that that offering is received and the energy returns back to you.
Begin to allow your breath to become a little bit deeper.
Maybe even feeling like you're breathing your bones.
Feeling the structure of your body live with the breath.
Really allow your exhales to be emptying and how that full emptiness allows for the inhale to be a vitalizing,
Inspiring breath.
Very much like the cycles of life.
We breathe in,
We breathe out.
Know that we are home here now in the body.
And then taking your time when you're ready,
You can maybe bow your chin down towards your chest,
Maybe drawing hands to heart.
Some moment of reverence for practice.
For the gift that you bring to the world,
To those that you love in your life,
And a gratitude for all that love and energy that you receive in return.
And then slowly open your eyes,
Keeping the gaze downward.
And then coming back as you're ready.
You can stretch or whatever your body needs now.
