Today I'd like to share with you a simple guided meditation that includes an affirmation which I call my self-love affirmation.
And self-love is so important and in Tantra we believe that it is the foundation of all the other practices and there is a great teacher who once said that spiritual practice will bear no fruit if you don't love yourself.
And so this is a guided meditation that you can listen to to feel somatically self-love and appreciation,
Self-honoring,
Self-compassion in a very somatic way.
And so you can begin by sitting down anywhere comfortably and just taking some nice full breaths.
Perhaps you'd like to try what I call the breath of gratitude,
Where you breathe in with such gratitude for your breath,
For the breath that gives you life,
This miraculous breath,
Inhaling the fullness of the breath all the way from the earth through your pelvic floor,
All the way up to your spine and your chakras to your crown,
Expanding upwards towards the sky and exhaling as you draw this breath down,
Back down from the sky through your spine all the way back to the earth.
And you can feel this circular movement of the breath moving from the earth through you all the way up to your crown to the sky and back down as you breathe this breath of gratitude,
Feeling the love of the universe fill you up,
Relaxing your shoulders,
Your jaw,
Your belly,
Circling your head if you need to and just letting go of everything else but this one moment,
These few moments,
Just breathe and come home to yourself.
And so when you're ready,
You can take your palms face down on your heart and you can just begin to massage your heart,
Just make some circles around your heart.
This is the greatest marma point or pressure point in your body.
And whenever you give touch to your body and add an affirmation,
I call that a somatic affirmation,
It just gives the affirmation,
This added element that goes into your cells and into your felt sense,
Your body,
Your whole being goes into a deeper layer past your mind and your thoughts,
Into your heart,
Into your soul.
So as you continue massaging your heart,
You can also just pause and drop your gaze with your eyes closed inside your heart.
Just continuing to breathe nice and full breaths.
And the affirmation goes like this,
I deeply and profoundly accept,
Respect,
Forgive,
And love myself.
And so as you continue stroking and massaging your heart,
You can say this affirmation over and over again.
And if you say this affirmation every day,
Even if you totally don't believe every part of it,
It begins to heal you on a deep level.
It begins to remind you that no matter what you've been through,
What mistakes you may have maken,
What someone else may have said to you in the past,
You still and always deserve to be loved.
And to be loved by yourself is the most powerful form of love.
Because when you love yourself,
You create a vibration inside that everyone feels.
And I like to say when you love yourself,
You love the world.
Everyone wins.
So keep massaging your heart and repeat with me.
As you keep your eyes closed and drop your gaze inside your heart,
And feel into every word,
I deeply and profoundly accept,
Respect,
Forgive,
And love myself.
I deeply and profoundly accept,
Respect,
Forgive,
And love myself.
I deeply and profoundly accept,
Respect,
Forgive,
And love myself.
For the benefit of all.
When we have a world full of humans that deeply and profoundly accept,
Respect,
Forgive,
And love themselves,
They will make different choices.
They will make choices that are in alignment with the highest good of all.
The highest good of the planet.
The highest good for having peace and harmony in the world.
So you can teach this to your children and to your loved ones.
And I like to do this every morning before I get out of bed.
Just put my hands on my heart and whisper it inside.
And if you're blessed to have a beloved by your side,
Beautiful tantric practice is to then put your hand on your partner's heart.
And they could put their hand on your heart and repeat this together.
I deeply and profoundly accept,
Respect,
Forgive,
And love you.
And so from this deep wellspring of self-love,
The tantric journey begins.
