Find a comfortable position,
Allow your body to settle,
Either sitting or lying down.
If it feels comfortable,
Gently close your eyes or soften your gaze.
Take a slow breath in through your nose,
And a gentle breath out through your mouth.
Again,
Inhale slowly,
And exhale,
Allowing your shoulders to soften.
Sometimes we carry a quiet voice inside that says,
I'm not good enough.
Maybe it shows up when you compare yourself to others,
When you make a mistake,
Or when you feel like you should be doing more,
Achieving more,
Or being more.
For a moment,
Simply notice if that feeling has been present for you.
Take a slow breath in,
And a long breath out.
Instead of arguing with that voice,
Just acknowledge it.
You might gently say to yourself,
I notice the thought that I'm not good enough.
Just noticing.
Remember,
A thought is not the same thing as the truth.
Thoughts are experiences that move through the mind,
Just like clouds moving through the sky.
Take another slow breath in,
And as you breathe out,
Imagine creating a little space around that thought.
You are not the thought.
You are the one noticing the thought.
Now place one hand gently over your heart,
Or on your chest if that feels comfortable.
Take a slow inhale,
And a soft exhale.
Quietly remind yourself,
I am human.
I am learning.
I am allowed to grow.
You do not have to prove your worth in this moment.
Your worth is not measured by productivity,
Comparison,
Or perfection.
Take another gentle breath in,
And as you exhale,
Allow the body to soften just a little more.
For this moment,
Allow yourself to simply exist without needing to be better,
Different,
Or more.
You are already enough to take the next breath.
Take one final slow breath in,
And a long breath out.
When you're ready,
Slowly open your eyes,
Carrying a little more gentleness with you as you move through the rest of your day.
