This meditation is done standing! I felt as if many of us have been sitting a lot these days, so I created this meditation to make you feel grounded and release anxiety, worry and stress through the soles of your feet. I hope you will feel reaffirmed in your present moment.

Hello there and welcome to this special meditation.

As you might have seen from the title,

Today I would like to share a little new concept that I came up with in the last days.

I'm not sure whether this exists already,

But I just created this whilst looking to meditate at a time where I'm constantly seated and where I'm constantly being idle and not that active.

So welcome to the standing meditation.

This meditation will be done standing on your two feet.

If you are not able to stand on your two feet,

You might consider using your hands to touch the ground and put some weight on them to feel this connection and the body pressure.

I recommend you not wearing shoes while doing this meditation.

However you might want to wear some socks so that you won't feel cold.

And then find a space in your home that is quiet and that has a floor that you can comfortably stand on.

A wooden floor works really well.

If you are wearing some slippers,

Maybe use some tiles,

Be okay.

Just find a space that you feel comfortable standing on for about 10 minutes.

So please do that now.

And then close your eyes and just stand there.

You might want to readjust your stance a little bit.

That is totally okay.

Make sure that you stand comfortably.

Once you have settled in,

Let go of any conscious movements.

Just try and stand still.

Now pay attention to your feet.

What does it feel like standing on the ground?

Do you feel imbalance?

Is your weight spread out evenly among your feet?

Can you feel more pressure at certain points?

Everything is okay.

Just notice the connection between your feet and the ground.

Notice that feeling of strength,

Force,

Between your body and the ground.

Next,

Notice your whole body.

Is it standing completely still?

Can you feel your body swaying back and forth,

Right and left,

In a circle?

Is there a position that your body feels leaning towards?

Just notice this.

Don't give it any importance.

Just feel into it.

Next,

Pay attention to your breath.

Has it slowed down already a little bit?

Is it in rhythm with your body swaying?

Notice your inhale and your exhale.

Notice the sensation of the air traveling through your respiratory system into your lower abdomen.

And how it expands and contracts again.

Breathe at your own pace,

Without any conscious effort to keep a certain pattern.

Just breathe.

Just be there.

Now try and see whether you can feel the energy flowing through your body.

Your feet standing firmly on the ground.

Their weight pushing into the ground,

Feeling that connection,

Making you feel strength and stability.

And at the same time,

Feeling your body being light,

Not forceful,

Just swaying around,

Feeling free,

Letting go of everything.

Feel the energy traveling all the way up through your legs,

Your abdomen,

Your chest,

Maybe even releasing into your arms,

Into your fingertips.

Notice how maybe the energy releases out through your crown,

Through your head.

Just keep breathing,

Swaying,

Noticing the energy standing firmly on your two feet.

Now just stay there for a while.

Breathing.

Now come back.

Try moving your fingertips slightly.

Move your toes a little bit,

Press them into the ground,

One after the other.

Lift them up from the ground.

Maybe go up onto your heels.

Move your knees a little bit and circle them.

Start moving your whole body a little bit and feel loose,

Relaxed,

Present.
