Hello,
Sweet friend,
I'm so glad you're here.
Sometimes big feelings visit us,
Feelings that feel loud or wiggly or heavy inside.
If a big feeling has been with you today,
You're in the right place.
Let's help your body calm down together.
Find a cozy position.
You can sit or lie down or curl up somewhere soft.
Take your time getting comfy.
When you're ready,
Let your eyes gently close or keep them soft looking down.
Take a slow breath in through your nose and let it float out through your mouth.
Good.
Let's do that two more times.
Slow breath in and soft breath out.
Last one.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Now,
Quietly inside your mind,
See if you can notice the feeling in your body.
You don't have to fix it.
You don't have to push it away.
Just notice.
Maybe it feels tight.
Maybe it feels warm.
Maybe wiggly.
Maybe happy.
Whatever you feel,
It's okay.
All feelings are allowed to visit.
Now imagine your breath is soft and gentle,
Like an ocean wave.
As you breathe in,
The wave rolls in.
And as you breathe out,
The wave rolls out.
Let's try a few together.
Breathing in,
Slow wave in.
Breathing out,
Slow wave out.
Again,
Breathing in and breathing out.
Letting your shoulders soften.
One more time.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Let some of that big feeling get a little smaller.
Now imagine a soft,
Gentle bubble of calm starting to grow around you.
This bubble is soft,
Gentle,
And calm.
It is warm,
Safe,
And quiet.
With every slow breath out,
The bubble grows bigger.
It wraps around your shoulders,
Around your belly,
Around your whole body.
Inside this calm bubble,
Your body knows how to settle.
Your heart knows how to slow down.
And your breath knows exactly what to do.
Big feelings don't stay forever.
They come and they go.
And right now,
You are doing something very brave.
You are helping your body calm down.
Take one more slow,
Gentle breath in and a long,
Soft breath out.
When you feel ready,
You can wiggle your fingers,
Wiggle your toes,
And gently,
Softly open your eyes.
You are safe,
You are calm,
And you did such a beautiful job.
I'll see you again soon.
