Hello lovely soul and welcome.
Thank you for taking this time for yourself today.
Wherever you are right now,
I invite you to arrive here with me for the next few minutes.
There's nowhere else that you need to be,
Nothing you need to fix,
Just this moment and a little space to reconnect with yourself.
Now take a lovely,
Slow,
Deep breath in and just let it go.
Relax those shoulders.
Take the relaxation totally down your body.
And together,
Let's spend a few minutes gently exploring self-love.
Kindness and giving yourself permission to take care of you.
Take a moment with me now,
Just pause wherever you are and let yourself arrive here in this moment.
Maybe your mind has been busy,
Maybe you've been giving to everyone else and maybe you've been carrying a lot lately.
And if that's true,
I want this next few minutes to feel like a gentle reminder,
A reminder that you matter too.
Your energy matters,
Your heart matters,
Your well-being matters.
Self-love can send a Like such a big thing sometimes,
Can't it?
We heat it everywhere.
Love yourself more.
Choose yourself.
Put yourself first.
And while those words are beautiful,
In real life,
Self-love often looks much simpler than that.
It looks like noticing when you're tired and letting yourself rest.
It looks like speaking to yourself kindly when something doesn't go to plan.
It looks like giving yourself just five minutes.
Just five minutes without guilt.
It looks like breathing before reacting.
It looks like saying,
I'm doing the best I can today,
And that is enough.
Self-love isn't about becoming perfect.
It's not about always feeling confident and it's not about getting everything right.
It's about how you treat yourself.
While you're living this very human life.
It's about becoming a safe place for yourself.
A place where you don't have to perform.
A place where you don't have to earn rest.
A place where you can simply be.
And I know for many of us,
Especially those who care deeply for others,
Taking time for ourselves can seem uncomfortable.
We can feel selfish.
We can feel like there's always something or someone.
Needing help or something needing to be done.
But here's the truth.
When you constantly pour from an empty cup,
Eventually,
Your spirit feels it,
Your body certainly feels it.
Your mind does too.
Taking care of yourself isn't.
Taken away from anyone else.
It helps you.
Return to your life with more peace,
More presence and more of you available.
So let's do a little exercise together.
Nothing complicated,
Just a quiet moment.
Take a gentle breath in.
And breathe out.
Now place one hand over your heart.
Feel the warmth of your own hand there.
Let your shoulders soften.
And ask yourself this simple question.
What do I need from myself today?
Not what anyone else needs.
And not tomorrow,
Just today.
What do I need from myself?
Maybe the answer is rest.
It's maybe patience.
This may be a walk outside.
It may be a boundary I need to set.
It's maybe encouragement.
May be simply permission to slow down.
Whatever came to you when you asked that question,
Trust it because that is what you need.
Now quietly say to yourself,
I am allowed to take care of myself.
I am allowed to take up space.
I am allowed to rest.
I am learning to treat myself with kindness.
I am becoming a safe place for my own heart.
Just take another slow,
Deep breath.
And notice how that feels.
Because self-love grows in these moments.
Not grand gesture gestures.
Not pressure,
Just small,
Consistent acts of kindness to yourself.
One loving choice,
One gentle pose.
One moment of listening inward.
And over time those moments build trust within yourself.
You begin to know.
And you begin to think.
I've got me.
I can meet myself with kindness.
I can slow down when I need to.
I can honour what my heart is asking for.
So as you move through your day today,
I invite you to offer yourself one kind thing.
Maybe a few quiet minutes,
A nourishing cup of tea or coffee,
A walk,
A softer inner voice perhaps,
Or maybe a hand on your heart.
And just a deep breath.
Just one thing and let that be enough.
Take care of your beautiful heart and remember.
You deserve the same kindness you so freely give to everyone else.
Take one more slow deep breath in and gently breathe out.
Wriggle your fingers and your toes if that feels good.
And when you're ready,
Bring your awareness back to the space around you.
I hope this is a reminder.
For you today that self-love doesn't have to be big,
It doesn't have to be complicated.
It can begin with one kind thought,
One gentle breath.
One small moment of choosing yourself.
Be kind to yourself today.
And thank you for sharing this time with me today.
And I'll see you all again soon.
Much love,
Sarah.
