A busy everyday life filled with routines makes many of us want weekends to feel different - more special, beyond the ordinary. So when we invite guests, we often raise the bar and put a lot of energy into making everything perfect. But is it really necessary, or is there an easier way to create a great experience together, without stress?

A lot of us recognize the feeling of wanting to make the most of our lives.

While working every day we have our weekends we want to make them full of good experiences we want to see people we want to invite We want to feel alive.

And some of us.

A bit high standards.

For how we should be when we for instance invite people to our homes.

The thing is that high standards.

Often come with a high stress level.

So if you recognize any of this,

Then you know what I'm talking about.

So she is home from work three hours before the guests arrive.

And she needs to clean and then prepare three courses.

Which means that once the guests arrive Well,

Maybe she's done and ready,

But things need to be prepared in between.

The courses as well.

So the thing with being present.

.

With the guests is lacking.

I'm leaving it there.

Because I want you to see if you recognize any of it.

So.

Lowering your standards will lower your stress level.

Ask people to bring food.

It's so lovely when you have this meal that consists of whatever people brought.

Or cook together or have something delivered.

Or choose to make the main course and then buy a big ice cream cake for dessert and skip the starters.

People don't come for the food.

People come to be with you.

So when they have left How do you often feel?

Do you feel fulfilled?

Do you feel that you were present,

That you interacted,

That you got to take part of the conversations?

Or do you feel a bit like her?

Then start making changes lower.

Your standards.

This will lower your stress and everybody will benefit from it.
