This method is a relaxing non-dual visualization and meditation on the Universal and Cosmic nature of Christ. The encounter with and participation in the eternal being of the Divine is the breaking free of our small sense of self into the more expansive and loving awareness that is the Logos.

Hello,

And welcome to Methods of Contemplation.

Today's method is on the universal nature of Christ.

Begin by finding a comfortable,

Seated position,

Either on a cushion or a chair,

With your back straight and your hands resting on your knees or in your lap.

Take a few deep breaths,

Allowing yourself to relax and completely and fully settle into the present moment,

Like a glass of water that you set on the shelf,

Stirring a bit for the moment,

But then gradually evening out and coming to complete stillness.

Now visualize a bright light above your head,

Shining down on you.

This light represents the universal Christ,

The divine presence that is present in and as all things.

As you breathe in,

Imagine that you are breathing in this very light,

Allowing it to fill your entire body with its radiance.

As you breathe out,

Release any tension or negativity,

Allowing it to completely dissolve into that same light.

As you continue to breathe,

Imagine that this light is expanding within you,

Filling every cell,

Every molecule,

Every fiber of your being.

Allow yourself to feel the warmth and the radiance of the cosmic Christ within you.

Now visualize the eternal Christ extending beyond you,

Encompassing all beings and all of creation,

The entire manifest universe,

Filling both being and non-being.

Allow yourself to feel the sheer vastness of this divine presence,

Knowing deeply that it's present in all things,

In all places,

At all times,

Or even more deeply that all space and all time is present within Christ.

As you continue to meditate on the universal nature of Christ,

Allow yourself to feel a deep sense of connection and unity with all beings.

Know that you're a part of something greater,

A petal in the divine bloom,

The divine unfolding in the world.

And rest in this sense of connection and unity for as long as you like,

Allowing yourself to simply be in the presence of the endless Christ.

When you're ready,

Slowly bring your attention back to your breath and then open your eyes.
