Welcome to your guided relaxation.
This is an eyes closed audio experience where you will drift into a deeply relaxed,
Hypnotic state.
So make sure you are sitting,
Resting or laying down.
You must not listen whilst driving or moving around.
Know that at any time you can adjust your position to ensure you are as comfortable as you can be.
So lay or relax into the surface that you are resting on.
I invite you to get yourself comfortable and when you are ready place one hand on your heart and one hand on your tummy and gently close your eyes.
Know that by closing your eyes you are signalling to your mind and body to relax.
Notice your natural breathing pattern for a moment.
Check in with your body.
Notice any areas of tension and breathe into them and as you exhale release the tensions away.
Don't make any judgement,
Just notice how you are feeling in your body and in your mind and breathe.
Relaxing more and more with each breath.
Breathe.
Feeling and feeling.
Breathe.
Feeling a deeper sense of peace with each exhalation.
Mind and body free from any tension.
Breathe.
If thoughts pop into your mind that's ok,
Just notice them without judgement and allow the thoughts to drift away as you bring your focus back to your breath.
Now that you are totally relaxed,
I wonder if you can begin to imagine,
See,
Sense or feel a beach.
This beach could be real or imagined.
It could be a beach that you have been to,
A beach that you dream about visiting.
There isn't anybody else on this beach and it is your own special place.
Spend some time looking around you.
Notice the sound of the waves gently lapping the shoreline.
Notice the leaves of the palm trees blowing in the warm breeze.
Notice how the temperature is just perfect for you.
Notice the soft waves of the sea,
The fine grains of white sand slipping between your toes,
Bathing them in warmth that eases out each and every muscle of your feet.
You notice the birds in the palm trees that are singing beautiful bird song and the clear blue skies that appear to go on forever as they meet the crystal turquoise ocean on the horizon.
As you breathe deeply,
You notice how nourishing the ocean air is.
You inhale and exhale fully and deeply.
As you wander along your beach,
You notice how you are more and more relaxed with each step you take.
The warmth from the sun bathes your body and melts away any tensions.
Your shoulders ease away from your neck and you release and relax even more deeply.
As you look around you once again,
You notice in the shade a hammock swinging gently,
Supported between two sturdy palm trees.
This is the perfect spot for you to relax and enjoy everything that nature has to offer around you.
So you climb into the hammock and relax back.
As you rest your head back,
You're aware of how your whole body is supported by the soft material of the hammock that you are resting in.
As you lay here and breathe easily,
You notice once again how deeply relaxed you feel.
Even more deeply relaxed with each and every breath that you take.
You know that this is the perfect time to let go of anything you need to from your mind,
Body and soul.
You exhale and release tensions,
Unwanted thoughts and negative stories that may have come up for you today.
This is the time to thank them for guiding you through your day and acknowledge that you no longer wish to carry them with you as you prepare for a restorative night's sleep.
So inhale fully and deeply now and as you exhale release all of those unwanted feelings and thoughts down and out of your body.
Breathe and as you release all of these feelings down and out of your body,
Notice how they are creating space for feelings of peace and calm to flood into your body as you breathe.
You continue to enjoy relaxing in your hammock and you continue to enjoy the warmth and the sun bathing your whole body as your muscles ease out and let go.
By visiting this relaxing beach as often as you choose,
You will begin to see how quickly and easily you can induce a state of peace and calm.
As you rest here you say to yourself,
