Hey Megan here from Libra Living Wellness Limited for The 30th video of Libra Living Liberations Today I want to talk about quieting the mind.
And when I thought of this video,
For today,
I think about all the noise that we have going on inside of our mind sometimes.
The thoughts,
The words that we're thinking,
Especially when We're stressed or overwhelmed.
The mind I feel can get very noisy.
And to me that within itself,
Like all these thoughts and you're thinking,
You're worrying about this and you're worrying about that.
Um then you kind of feel stress within itself from just all the thoughts happening in your mind.
And in quieting the mind.
And I literally,
I looked at something this morning,
So it was kind of perfect.
We have to find ways to kind of.
.
.
Quiet that noise within.
And for me,
Meditation is really great or listening to kind of like soft music with no words.
Finding ways to just kind of tune everything out and that could be different things for different people.
It could just be going for a walk.
I also really enjoy doing puzzles because then my brain focuses on the puzzle and then kind of like quietly what's going on inside the mind.
Or it could be,
You know,
Again,
It could be anything that helps you quiet the mind.
It's different for everyone.
But I've really been.
Thinking about this lately because my mind's been feeling very heavy and very overwhelmed.
Um.
.
.
With trying to get things accomplished before I go on my trip in October.
And so my mind has been like.
.
.
Okay this gotta I have to do this I have to do this and a lot of times creating a list helps me kind of quiet down and be like okay it gives me something to focus on but a lot of times To me,
The brain doesn't shut off,
Especially when I'm trying to go to sleep at night and I'm thinking of this and I'm thinking of that.
I used to have a hard time with that even in high school.
My brain would just not shut off or shut up.
It was just like constantly going,
Thinking,
Oh,
What do I have to do tomorrow?
Oh,
Well,
What about this?
It was just like.
Going full speed.
I tend to put on TV,
Like just background noise.
I'll put it on really quiet because they say don't leave TV on while you sleep.
Which mine usually shuts off after a certain time,
But I need that noise or that distraction to keep my brain from thinking,
Okay,
Tomorrow I have to do this,
Blah,
Blah,
Blah.
So yeah,
Find ways to quiet your mind.
It's really important to take those moments to just take a break.
Um.
.
.
You know,
We can't stay away from the noise all the time,
But having those ways to kind of.
Reset,
I think really helps us to then be like,
Okay,
To focus on the different things a little bit clearer.
And more easily.
So yeah,
My hope for everyone is to find ways to quiet your mind.
To kind of take those moments of pause and to kind of press the reset button so that way things don't feel chaotic,
Things don't feel overwhelming,
And you can move through things with a little bit more ease.
Until next time.
