Find a comfortable place to sit or lie down and when you're ready gently close your eyes.
Take a deep breath in and as you exhale allow a wave of relaxation to flow from the top of your head.
Feel this wave moving slowly down relaxing each part of your body,
Your forehead,
Your eyes,
Nose,
Mouth,
Cheeks,
And jaw all relax.
Moving down to your neck,
Your shoulders,
Arms,
And fingertips.
Feel the tension melting away as this wave of relaxation reaches your chest,
Stomach,
Hips,
And finally your toes.
You're now in a state of deep relaxation.
Now imagine you are standing at the top of a staircase with 10 steps.
With each descending step your sense of relaxation and calmness will double.
Begin to see these steps clearly in your mind knowing that each number I count will take you deeper into a state of relaxation.
10 filling a wave of tranquility wash over you.
9 allowing all concerns to flow away.
8 your muscles become loose your mind quiet.
7 feeling lighter more peaceful.
6 deeper and deeper to relaxation.
5 feeling relaxed and at ease.
4 more relaxed than ever before.
3 feeling calm serene.
2 feeling a profound sense of inner peace.
1 you have now reached the bottom,
Deeply relaxed and open to positive suggestions.
While you are in this deeply relaxed state,
