Welcome to Day 2 of Spiritual Mornings.
Today we're going to do something your body does thousands of times a day,
But this time with awareness.
Breathe.
What if today you chose not to begin your day in a rush?
What if,
Before looking at the clock,
You looked within?
Your breath is a silent teacher.
Always present.
Always available.
And when you learn to truly rest in it,
Something within you begins to shift.
Today we're going to take that pause.
And from that space,
Everything else can begin.
Breathing seems so simple.
And yet,
When you bring awareness to it,
It can transform you.
Your breath does more than keep you alive.
It regulates you.
It calms you.
It brings you back to your center.
It was the very first thing you did when you entered this world.
And it will be the last when you leave it.
Everything you are unfolds between those two breaths.
To rest in your breath does not mean controlling it.
It means allowing yourself to feel it.
To notice it without trying to change it.
And to let it gently guide you inward.
Today you do not need to understand anything else.
You only need to breathe and be fully present with each inhale and each exhale.
Find a comfortable position.
If you are seated,
Let your spine be upright but relaxed.
If you are lying down,
Allow your whole body to feel supported and at ease.
Now gently close your eyes.
And take a deep breath in.
Exhale softly.
As if you were releasing the weight of the morning.
Do that two more times.
Inhale.
And exhale,
Letting everything settle.
Now bring your attention to your breath.
Do not change it.
Just observe it.
Notice where you feel your breath most clearly.
In your nose.
In your chest.
In your belly.
Let your attention rest there.
As if your mind could lean into the breath.
Exhale.
Let it become your anchor.
Your inner home.
And if your mind wanders,
That is okay.
Simply return gently to the breath.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Now if you'd like,
Place one hand on your chest.
Or on your belly.
Feel how your body moves with each breath.
And with every inhale,
Repeat silently,
I am here.
And with every exhale,
All is well.
Repeat that a few times.
Let the words move with the breath.
Now change the intention.
As you inhale,
I receive calm.
As you exhale,
I let go of tension.
Allow yourself to soften with every exhale.
As if layers of rush,
Worry and noise were gently falling away.
Notice how the breath has created space within you.
How something inside you has softened.
Now imagine that with each breath,
You begin to expand.
As if calm were flowing through your entire body.
From your chest,
Into your arms.
From your belly,
Down into your legs.
And then,
Beyond your body.
Into your surroundings.
Into the people you will meet and share this day with.
You are a center of presence.
Breathing peace into the world around you.
Now bring your attention back to your body.
Feel the points of contact beneath you.
Notice the sounds around you.
Take one more conscious breath.
Inhale.
Exhale.
And exhale softly.
And when you're ready,
Slowly open your eyes.
And welcome the day with a new awareness.
Today,
You learned something deeply valuable.
Your breath can be your refuge.
Your ground,
Your way back to yourself.
You do not need complicated techniques or long hours.
Just a few seconds to return to your breath with presence and care.
Throughout your day,
Pause now and then to take a conscious breath with intention.
You can use this simple phrase,
I am here,
All is well.
Use it when you feel tension or simply because you want to return to yourself.
How did your breath support you today?
When did you reconnect with it?
Thank you for being here.
Thank you for breathing with me in this moment.
We keep walking one morning at a time.
