There is a part of us that hates the truth. It hides from it, ignores it. There is a part of us that is comfortable not changing. “I don’t want to do the work. It’s easier not to know. It’s easier not to do.” Yet, there is another part of us that yearns to live in complete authenticity, in utter joy and meaning. This part of us is screaming to come out. Your soul’s evolution (along with the world’s revolution) is knocking on your heart’s door. It's time to uncover your heart and listen.

This is Maureen Zwirzinski with Lotus Mother Care and Awaken Yoga Studio.

This meditation is on listening to all of you.

Begin by finding your seat.

Get comfortable in your body.

Roll your shoulders and your neck clockwise,

Counterclockwise.

Close your eyes now or softly gaze at the flicker of a candle.

Become aware of the space around you and just listen to the silence.

Begin to let the world around you slowly disappear.

Let it become a blur in the background and allow the whole you,

All of you,

To come forward.

In this moment you take center stage.

This may feel uncomfortable at first,

But deep down inside there is one in you that is needing some attention.

Become more aware of your breath now.

Use your breath as a powerful tool to help you rejuvenate and awaken your soul.

Like soft waves lapping up against your body each time you inhale and exhale.

Each time softening the edges of your body.

And just slowly allowing the walls that we've built around us to slowly come down.

Use your breath now to let your whole self simply sit and be free.

Lift your chest slightly to open up your heart.

Open up all parts of you.

Now bring the focus of your breath to your heart center like you're breathing in and out through your heart space.

Just begin to notice any sensations or vibrations that you feel around your heart.

And now notice any emotions that may come up for you.

Let this practice be about becoming aware of what your heart and body are saying to you.

Can you allow your whole self to listen now?

Can you sit with the emotion even when you can barely stand it?

Hold on to your breath.

Use your breath as a loving reminder of your strength,

Of your vitality.

That you can sit here open and observing and accepting all that is you.

Connect back now to the rhythm of your breathing.

You can even open your mouth as you exhale and maybe take a sigh.

Place one hand over your heart and place the other hand on top.

Bow your head gently now towards your heart center and pay gratitude to all parts of you and all that you've been through.

And know that every cell,

Every part of your being shines now with your true essence.

Keeping your eyes closed,

Begin to slowly lift your head up and imagine a warm sun shining down on your face.

Feeling the warmth on your skin.

Know that you are stronger now and more aware just by sitting and being with your heart.

Hold the strength and awareness with you now.

Slowly open your eyes and breathe in a new you.
