Welcome yourself to this moment of deep rest.

There's nothing to do and nowhere to be but right here,

Now.

Place your body in a comfortable position,

Close your eyes,

And begin to loosen your mind.

Unclench fists,

Jaw,

Feet,

Toes,

Belly,

And chest.

You don't have to do anything.

Allow yourself to simply be.

Take one big deep breath in,

Feeling your chest,

Belly,

And nostrils expand.

Hold the air inside you for 4,

3,

2,

1 second,

And then sigh out completely.

Do this one more time,

Breathing in,

Holding the air for 4,

3,

2,

1 second,

And then release it.

Abandon thinking and drop down into feeling,

Breathing,

And sensation.

Feel the pressure of your body on the surface beneath you.

Notice the textures that are touching your skin.

Feel the temperature of the air on your face.

Now,

Begin to focus your attention on the sound of your breath in and out.

And as you do,

Feel your body sinking deeper,

Getting heavier,

Held by gravity from the center of the earth.

There is no separation between you and the earth below you.

Feel the safety of being nestled here and continue to breathe.

Imagine you are a thousand year old tree with roots firmly planted in the soil,

Feeding you precious nutrients and keeping you vibrantly alive.

The sun is radiating warmth all over your body,

Soothing your branches,

And you begin to grow new leaves,

Shining like precious emerald gemstones,

Catching and reflecting the light.

As your leaves unfold,

You can feel yourself expanding in the space all around you.

A gentle breeze comes and you sway with it,

Gently,

As though it has just taken your hand and asked you softly to dance.

Now,

You hear a few drops of rain and they begin to pool on the pads of your leaves,

Refreshing you.

The drops begin to fall a little faster from the sky and the percussive sound they make as they rebound off the leaves blends with the whisper of the breeze and begins to lull you to sleep.

You fall into a deep dreamscape,

Floating weightlessly through the air,

Forgetting time and flying through empty,

Endless,

Infinite space.

And then you drift back into this moment,

Here,

And land in your body,

Feeling the surface beneath you.

You come back to your breath,

In and out,

And feel life returning to your fingers and toes.

You are whole,

Alive,

And at peace.

This is a new moment and you've never been here before.

Blink your eyes open and begin from this place.
