This guided meditation will take you on a journey through the four elements and the beautiful ways they connect us to Spirit. Nature has a tremendous power to absorb our suffering, and invite us into awe & wonder. The elements are always there, teaching us about harmony, balance, and movement of energy. When we immerse in nature, we can feel these teachings. This meditation is set to a beautiful, flowing instrumental soundscape of acoustic guitar & harp by Matthew DeRubertis & Emma Quinn.

Howling wind,

A soft breeze,

Crackling flame,

Roaring blaze.

The streams murmur in crashing waves.

Silky sand,

The tallest mountains,

You are sweating and the wind kisses your forehead with lightness and ease.

A steady heat drives your face and hands as you gather with kin by the fireside.

Standing in cool moving waters just before you immerse into the womb of their depths.

A slab of warm stone holds you as you melt into the midday sun.

Each element,

So pure in all of their manifestations,

Carries you straight into the heart.

Each sensation,

Each experience,

Arising from simple contact with the elements,

Brings you straight into the essence of the now,

The present,

The eternal,

The ephemeral.

That which has always been and always will be.

So you walk the mountain,

Watching the trees slightest sway,

Stepping from stone to stone,

Admiring their infinite variant shapes.

A stream flows downward,

Purified through layers of earth,

You bend and quench your thirst.

Stepping into a clearing,

The sun is hot and illuminates your path forward.

Distant smoke touches your nose.

A plume emanates from the hillside.

After great effort,

A vista is gained.

The landscape is brush-stroked.

Large swaths of color,

Line,

Shape,

And texture.

A great stillness is felt.

The mind rests,

The body returned,

And you are simply here.

Licking salt from your lips,

You swim into the onslaught of waves,

Submerging with ease and agility as a wall of water passes overhead.

Your head lifts from the ocean's womb,

Beholding the eternally shifting expanse.

An almost unbearable quiet,

Accented by the distant beating of feathered wings,

Mirrors all thought,

Emotion,

And sensation back to you with perfect clarity.

The sand absorbing your footsteps,

The bittersweet kiss of the cactus needle,

And the sun steady,

Illuminating,

Pulsing.

An impossible variety of green,

Soaked with life and multiplication.

The infinite sounds of infinite creatures,

Offering their song without any worry of ever being wrong.

The falling water permeates all,

Carrying the essence of all that touches into the ancient river.

When we truly feel our pain and give it back to nature,

Each element receives the energy and disperses it back into source.

When we feel our pain and give it back to nature,

Each element receives the energy and disperses it back into source.

Our pain is transmuted into the infinite,

The holy,

The sacred,

The pure.

The wind clears,

The fire cleanses,

The water washes,

The earth receives.

The wind clears,

The fire cleanses,

The water washes,

The earth receives.

When we surrender to the wisdom of each element,

We are taught how to be,

How to flow,

How to move,

How to harmonize,

And simply merge with what is.

When we surrender to the wisdom of each element,

We are taught how to be,

How to flow,

How to move,

How to harmonize,

How to simply merge with what is.

You are each element.

You are energy.

You are infinite.

You are source.

You are balance.

You are energy.

You are infinite.

You are source.

You are balance.

You are love.

You are love.

Stunningly beautiful. Soothing, reassuring, calming. It spoke to me, to the idea that all experience is singular and unique but also shared and connected.
