Welcome.
Before you open the car door,
Before you swipe that badge,
Before you open your laptop,
Let's pause.
Take one slow breath and just notice.
In two words,
How are you arriving right now?
No fixing,
No adjusting,
Just noticing.
Two words.
Good.
Now,
Come into your body.
If you're standing,
Feel your feet on the ground.
If you're sitting,
Feel the weight of your hips supported beneath you.
And gently let your awareness move downward,
Through your hips,
Through your legs,
Into the soles of your feet.
Notice the contact.
Press your feet slightly into the ground.
There is something steady here.
Let your toes soften.
Let your heels grow heavy.
Now take another breath.
And if it feels available,
Imagine a warm light just above your head.
Not dramatic,
Just steady.
Allow it to move down through the crown of your head,
Softening your forehead,
Your jaw,
Your shoulders.
Let it travel down through your chest,
Your belly,
Your hips,
All the way down your legs and out through the bottoms of your feet.
Grounded,
Clear,
Here.
Now here's the truth.
If it happened yesterday,
It belongs to yesterday.
You don't need to drag it through the door with you.
Notice if there's anything lingering,
A conversation,
An unfinished task,
A bit of tension in your jaw or chest or shoulders.
Just notice.
Awareness is the pivot point.
Once you see it,
You have a choice.
And choice changes outcomes.
If you feel tension in your able,
Place one hand on your chest and one on your belly.
Feel the warmth of your own hands.
Feel your breath moving beneath them.
Nothing fancy,
Just breathe and contact.
You can come back to this anytime today.
In a meeting,
At your desk,
At work,
In the restroom.
No one has to know you're doing it,
But you will know.
Now,
Ask yourself quietly,
How do I want to show up today?
Not what needs to get done,
Not what's on the list,
But how do I want to show up?
Steady?
Clear?
Patient?
Direct?
Something else?
Choose one word and let that word settle in your body.
Feel your spine lengthen slightly.
Let your shoulders rest.
Drop your arms.
This is how you walk in.
And at some point today,
Something will try to rush you.
And when it does,
Press your feet into the ground.
Slow inhale.
Long exhale.
That is enough.
Keep that in your pocket and use it when it's needed.
Before you move,
Check in again.
Two words.
How are you arriving now?
Walk in steady.
Not perfectly.
Just intentionally.
And let that intention lead the way.
