Bless Others You Don't Know.
Do you bless others you don't know?
I was sitting on the porch early watching the morning awaken.
I was thanking the universe for my blessings and the love I feel.
I focused on things I appreciated when a school bus went by in the darkness carrying children to school.
As it drove by I began offering blessings to the children and the driver on that bus.
I offered blessings for them to know their innate goodness and who they really are as love and joy.
I offered blessings that they would learn wonderful skills to create beautiful lives for themselves and others and shine their lights into the world.
It felt good to me to offer those blessings and send love into their lives even though I don't know any of them.
Because I felt so good about blessing them I knew my inner being must really love them too.
By extending love to each life on that bus we were in harmony.
I learned to bless others that I don't know many years ago when the little home church we attended began studying with Orthodox Jewish rabbis.
One rabbi said when we as Jews hear a siren we're not to think of its sound as an irritation but to bless them and say may they get there in time and may all be safe.
That made a huge impact on me.
I've retained that lesson to bless others I don't know so I bless the ambulances,
Fire trucks,
Police vehicles,
School buses and even planes.
I simply speak blessings over them and extend my love to them.
Even when I'm sit and stargaze at night and see the lights of planes passing overhead I bless the people in the plane.
I bless them to enjoy their trip to know that they are love and joy embodied and to enjoy the people they will meet when they arrive.
It doesn't matter that I don't know these people.
They are human beings that matter in the all that is.
We are co-creating our world even when we are unknown to each other.
Imagine if you were on a plane or needed an ambulance or fire truck and you knew someone somewhere was sending love and blessings to you.
Would that make a difference in how you accept your worthiness and love?
Would you become more open to being love and joy?
The next time you hear a siren,
See a school bus,
Plane,
Ambulance or fire truck stop for a moment and send those people a loving blessing.
Or if you're on the subway,
Bus or train,
Bless the other passengers and staff.
One day you may be the one on the receiving end of a stranger's blessing.
Big hugs,
Marianne.
