Welcome!

This is your host,

Marianne Pack,

Spiritual medium,

Author,

And joyologist.

This reading is entitled,

How to Escape Boredom.

Do you get bored easily?

Does life seem to lose its spark quickly?

Why do we experience boredom?

If you know anything about human design,

I am a manifesting generator.

We love to be inspired and energized by working on something that sparks our joy.

We can get shit done,

Let me tell you.

So,

I start getting bored if I don't find something quickly to fill the next joyous gap after finishing a project to keep my momentum up.

Manifesting generators thrive on what lights us up and can just about move mountains while we're experiencing that high on life.

Recently,

I was getting bored again because I was wrapping up the excitement of my next book and I couldn't figure out what would spark my joy.

I was beginning to miss the fun and excitement of working on something that felt exhilarating,

Something that piques my interest and curls my toes with delight.

When I get bored,

I've noticed that I start looking at social media posts with a bit more feeling of jealousy.

I see friends or colleagues going on trips or having amazing experiences and I remember how I want that too.

When I'm not bored and excited for life,

I'm happy for them and know that I will be doing all those fun things too.

But during my bored episodes,

When I notice I'm not immediately getting what I want,

I start struggling.

I realize that I'm not able to go on the great vacation and it pisses me off that they get to do something I've wanted to do for so long.

If I don't nip it in the bud and let those feelings fester,

I even get mad at the universe for not giving me what I want.

Oh please,

Marianne,

Snap out of it.

So rather than wallow around in my self-pity yet again,

I decided to search for an Abraham Hicks video about boredom.

So if you've followed me for very long,

You know that Abraham is my favorite mentor and I filter just about everything through what I've learned from them.

Their messages always resonate with my soul so I know it's right for me.

The following article is what I learned and am taking to heart.

Maybe my takeaways will bring lightness to your soul as well.

Boredom is the fear of rocking the boat.

It's playing safe.

Boredom is when you don't let yourself dream much because you might get beyond your belief,

Which might be uncomfortable and no one wants to feel uncomfortable.

Oh my God,

Light bulb in the soul moment.

Growing up in a staunch Christian home,

I learned early in life that you do not rock the boat.

No beliefs outside of our religion were tolerated.

It was unsafe to venture into the desires of the heart because it would take away from our servitude to God and others.

You can't have anything that might distract you from your Christian walk.

You can only have spiritual things,

Not frivolous doodads and knickknacks or fast cars and big showy homes.

Only average would do.

Nice was okay,

But not too fancy.

I loved big showy baubles and shiny things.

So I was often bored as a kid because I was far from average.

Boredom is the opposite of momentum toward what it is you want.

It's boredom toward what you don't want.

We know this by how it feels when we're bored.

It's always the opposite of how we know that our inner being is feeling,

Which is exhilarating and joyous.

Boredom feels shitty.

Everywhere we look,

Life is so boring.

So we might even get a little listless and tired.

There's no zazz or zest.

I totally get this.

I was indoctrinated with the belief that we can't just have everything we want.

As a matter of fact,

We were taught to quell those physical desires because they could take away from God.

We had to be good enough to get a drivel of blessing from God when He decided we were good enough.

On the other hand,

When we're feeling good and excited about life and what we're doing,

We have a thought pattern toward what we want,

And the Law of Attraction expands those thoughts,

Creating good-feeling momentum,

And we cannot be bored.

Moving toward our desires is not boring.

When I'm bored,

I don't know what I want.

I can't seem to think of anything that would bring me joy.

I feel like I'm in a holding pattern of boredom.

I've even had conversations with my inner being and spirit guides,

The many,

Asking them what would get me out of boredom and move into what I want,

Especially when I can't think of anything that excites me.

This video continued by explaining why we don't know what we want.

When you don't know what you want,

It is because you're denying letting yourself think about what you want.

You're holding yourself back from dreaming because you may get disappointed again or believe you could never have those amazing things.

You deny letting yourself think you could have it because that is way beyond what you currently believe.

You're observing more of what's going on instead of looking into the future with great expectation for what you want.

Dadgum,

How much holding back am I doing?

I felt my thoughts had been expansive,

But I reckon not.

A light bulb went off,

And I knew why I was holding myself back,

Because I had big dreams.

I denied looking at them because they all cost money that I didn't believe I could have yet.

So,

I wouldn't allow myself to look at those big dreams to relieve the pain because it hurt too much.

The vortex contains all the necessary ingredients to make what you want.

Of course,

It must be assembled,

But that's what your inner being does for you.

You've put myriad of ingredients into the vortex by living life,

And your inner being is assembling them into beautiful,

Delicious experiences.

But if you never step foot into the kitchen,

The vortex,

You'll never know what your inner being is up to.

You must quiet your mind to get a glimpse of what's in your vortex.

If your mind is too busy with resistant thoughts,

Those beliefs that keep you from believing you can be,

Do,

And have anything you desire,

You'll never see what beautiful things are being prepared for you.

You won't even be able to smell it baking when it's ready to pop out of the oven and ready to serve.

You have wonderful,

Powerful desires,

But human action cannot accomplish what you want.

Oh sure,

You could try to move ingredients around,

And you may have some success in making something look like the recipe you want,

But it will be mediocre at best because you're not working alongside your inner being in the kitchen,

The vortex.

Your physical action is never as creative and inspired as looking into the vortex to acknowledge that your inner being is a way better chef.

Your inner being is always calling you toward what you want,

But you must be in the proximity of your vortex to hear the calling.

Open the kitchen door,

The vortex door,

And listen.

You must say,

I give up.

This surrender or giving up is not of your desire,

It is giving up of your resistance.

It's giving up all of the things that are holding you back.

It's giving up the limiting beliefs.

It's giving up the need to protect yourself from any pain or discomfort of the misalignment you're experiencing.

You're giving up the struggle of trying to push hard and make something happen with your human action.

You let it go and trust that your inner being knows exactly how to assemble all the cooperative components and rendezvous that will deliver a magnificent manifestation.

The cause of boredom is your unwillingness to feel the pain of dreaming bigger than your beliefs can handle.

Your inner being is always calling you and when you don't go,

It feels really bad.

If habitual thoughts won't let you go with the calling or you can't hear the calling of your inner being from inside the vortex,

That gets so uncomfortable that you'll do just about anything you can to not think about what you want.

And that equates to boredom.

Abraham teaches that humans would rather feel negative emotion than not feel any emotion.

So when we get bored,

We get numb.

And since we are emotional vibrational beings,

We can't tolerate numbness because we don't feel alive.

So we would rather feel alive with negative emotions than the deadness of numbness.

Focusing on negative feeling thoughts at least lets us know we're alive because we're still feeling something.

How do we escape boredom?

How do we escape the negative emotions and get back into the aliveness of our strong desire by allowing ourselves to feel the excitement of what we want?

These are some of the things I'm going to challenge myself to start practicing to get out of boredom.

Number one,

Quiet mind in meditation.

The quieter my mind,

The more receptive I am to hearing the call of my inner being and what I want.

Number two,

Make feeling good my number one priority.

As I care about how I feel,

I'll also notice my emotions throughout the day and adjust my attitude accordingly or completely distract me from what I was thinking to something more pleasing.

Number three,

Allow me to daydream about what I want.

During imagination,

I'm receiving thoughts from my inner being about the ingredients I've already put into my vortex.

And that shit can feel really good to think about.

Number four,

Allow my inner being to assemble all the ingredients and trust that she will prepare the most delicious manifestation for me.

I don't have to get all twirled up in action.

I can relax into the peacefulness of knowing everything is working out for me.

Number five,

Acknowledge that my human action will not get me what I want.

I have to wait for inspired action steps.

Number six,

Acknowledge that my inspiration to act only comes from my inner being guiding me along my path of least resistance.

If I'm looking for things to appreciate,

I can receive inspiration to act.

And that's the time to go for it.

Charge!

Number seven,

As I relax and let my inner being do her job,

She will deliver my sweetest treat.

When I feel aligned and good and it will be delicious.

Boredom averted.

Are you feeling bored?

Are you struggling with knowing what you want?

If so,

Will you consider the challenge and practice the suggestions above?

You may not need all of them.

You might be able to move into alignment and let your resistance go more quickly than me.

Yay you!

What do you do when you're feeling boredom creeping in?

What do you do when you don't know what you want?

If you have any suggestions,

I'd love to hear them in the comments.

Your practices might just be what someone else has been searching for.

You may be the cooperative component to their desire for transformation.

We're all in this together.

No one is a lone ranger on the raw and ragged edge experiencing life in a vacuum.

We are all connected in the oneness of our souls.

Let's support each other in becoming who we intended to be when we came into this life.

I'd love to hear and support you.

Happy believing as big as you dream.

Big hugs,

Marianne
