Welcome.

This reading is entitled,
Beliefs Must Expand With Our Desires.
Do you feel you've outgrown many of your beliefs?
Do you feel that some of your beliefs are holding you back from what you want?
Do you feel uncomfortable with some of your beliefs?
Welcome to your expansion.
We cannot stop our expansion because we cannot stop our desire for new things,
New experiences.
That is because the universe's mantra is more.
More life,
More ideas,
More creations,
More joy,
More things that bring us pleasure.
It is an eternal process as we see what we don't want and then ask for our preferred improvement.
I love this quote from Abraham Hicks that sheds light on this topic.
Your life will produce a desire that cannot hold that belief.
Your desires for expansion demand the dissolving of bogus beliefs.
Think about it.
Doesn't expansion insist that you let go of the past?
And isn't a belief only a thought that you continue to think?
And can't you tell by the way you feel within some of them that they're not serving you because they suck when you focus on them?
So what do we do with these beliefs that are no longer serving us?
Maybe some of our beliefs never served us at all.
We can always know whether a belief supports our expansion or not by how it feels,
Negative or positive.
Guess which feeling indicates which?
Abraham says to ask ourselves,
Do the beliefs I hold support the expanded desire that I now have?
Since our beliefs and our desires are always expanding,
That means who we have become has also expanded.
Our beliefs support or hinder our expansion.
If we decide to allow our beliefs to morph and grow with our desires,
We will feel the satisfaction of alignment with who we have become.
If we decide to deny the expansion of our beliefs,
We will create a crevasse between who we are,
Who our inner being is and has become,
And who we're letting ourselves be.
When we block ourselves from going with the flow of expansion,
That crevasse will get wider and feel even more uncomfortable.
Life will suck.
We won't be able to find pleasure in our life experience.
Satisfaction makes it easier for our beliefs to move along with our expanded desires.
Why do we hold so tightly to the beliefs that don't feel good?
Why do we fear letting them go?
For me,
Many of my beliefs were taught since childhood.
This indoctrination was attached to my eternal salvation or damnation.
They were literally life or death.
So it was difficult to let go of those beliefs,
Even if they felt terrible.
When I had enough of the religious trauma,
I decided to evaluate my beliefs according to how they felt to my soul,
And that changed everything.
I knew my inner being loved and adored me and wouldn't guide me astray.
I knew if I felt bad,
My inner being must really feel good.
I wanted to feel as good as my inner being.
So I knew I needed to find out what my inner being believed about me.
I learned that beliefs are habits of thought,
Whether or not they are valid.
Believing thoughts of unworthiness,
Being innately sinful,
No gain without pain,
Struggle,
Sacrifice,
And the like do not match the beliefs about me that my inner being holds.
So there was discomfort because of my contradicted habits of thought.
Those beliefs needed to go and be replaced with habits of thought that brought me comfort and joy and feeling of expansion that aligned with who I knew myself to be.
Our beliefs must morph,
Bridge into the new supportive beliefs,
Evolve,
And be modified.
It's really okay to release beliefs or habits of thought that don't feel good.
Give yourself permission to do so.
Our inner beings always shine the guiding light on the truth of who we are.
So when we reach for satisfaction,
We will not stray from the joy and love we were born to be.
It's illogical that we would believe anything that detracts from our innate goodness that our inner beings know us to be.
And appreciation is the key to satisfaction.
Remember,
A belief is only a thought we repeat to ourselves until it becomes a belief.
So beliefs are not as difficult to replace as we may think.
If we can focus our thoughts,
We can change our beliefs.
It just takes a little practice of repeating a new thought long enough for it to become our belief.
As we focus more often on our new beliefs,
Our old beliefs will fade away from disuse.
Take some time to journal.
Here are a few questions to ask yourself.
Do the beliefs I hold support the expanded desires that I now have?
What are some beliefs that don't feel good?
What are some beliefs that do feel good?
What beliefs can I release?
What beliefs can I replace them with that support my expanded desires?
Do I need to continually expand my beliefs as my desires expand to allow myself to receive?
How will I know when it's time to expand my beliefs to match my desires?
By the current beliefs,
By how the current beliefs feel in relation to your desire.
Any belief that feels negative creates resistance in our vibration.
Spending too much time on figuring out the exact beliefs that are causing us trouble only uses our attention to help them expand,
And that's exactly what we don't want.
So even if we never figure out what those particular beliefs are that are not supportive,
We can start focusing on our alignment by practicing appreciation until the joy flows deeply.
Any belief that aligns with appreciation is expanding exponentially with your new desires.
The old,
Unsupportive beliefs will easily fade away.
Alignment through appreciation trumps all resistance,
Regardless of the block,
Belief,
Thought pattern,
Or longevity.
To your supportive beliefs,
Big hugs,
Marianne.
