Welcome to this cord-cutting guided meditation.
During this meditation we're going to think of a person or a situation that has a lot of emotional charge between us and we're going to sever that link between us.
I just want you to look around at your surroundings first of all.
Make sure that you're in a place where you won't be disturbed.
Sit yourself down or lie down if you prefer that and just gently close your eyes.
Take a deep breath in,
Filling your lungs completely and then exhale through the nose if you can very slowly.
Just release all tension and stress from your body as you do this.
Repeat this two more times so inhale deeply and exhale slowly and again inhale deeply and exhale slowly then just continue to breathe in your normal steady rate.
So we're going to visualize and what I want you to visualize is that you yourself are standing in a beautiful peaceful place in nature under the light of the full moon.
This could be in a forest,
On a beach,
Beside a lake,
In the city,
Wherever it is that you are imagining and I just want you to take a moment to imagine yourself bathing in the moonlight and being surrounded by its gentle energy.
Just take a few moments to absorb that light allowing it to fill you with a sense of calm and tranquility and as you continue to breathe deeply I want you to begin to think about anything that no longer serves you in your life.
This could be a relationship,
It could be a job,
It could even be a habit or a thought pattern but just allow yourself to fully immerse yourself in that feeling and allow yourself to fully acknowledge these feelings without judgment or criticism.
Just observe these feelings with a sense of acceptance.
Now imagine that these feelings are tied to you.
They are in a huge energetic bubble in front of you as you stand there and that bubble is tied to you with a rope.
Take a moment to see that rope in your mind's eye attached to all the things that no longer serve you and the other end is tied to you around the waist.
Now we no longer want to be attached to these feelings or these situations whatever they are so we're going to begin to cut the rope.
So I want you to imagine that you have the biggest pair of scissors that you have ever seen and you're going to begin to cut that rope and as you cut the rope and you feel all of that resistance,
Feel yourself releasing all of these things from your life.
Get into the state of knowing that once these things have been snipped and the rope is cut that they will no longer be affecting you in your life.
Feel yourself releasing these things.
Feel the freedom that comes with letting them go.
Imagine how light you're going to be and more free once this rope is cut.
I just want you to take a moment now to reflect on how these situations and these feelings have held you back and prevented you from reaching your full potential.
Acknowledge any pain,
Any sadness,
Any frustration or any other feeling that you might be holding inside.
Take a moment also to recognize that you are in control of your own life and you have the power to release what no longer serves you.
As you continue to cut the ropes,
Allow yourself to feel any emotions that come up,
Whether they are positive or negative.
Just know that it is okay to feel these emotions and that by releasing what no longer serves you,
You are making space for new positive experiences to come into your life.
Continue to cut these ropes with your scissors until all of the things that no longer serve you are completely free and released.
That bubble that was in front of you is now just floating with a cut rope attached to it.
Just affirm to yourself now that you are letting go of what no longer serves you and you are open to receiving new and more positive experiences in your life.
And now we're going to get rid of that bubble.
I want you to take a deep breath in and as you exhale,
Imagine yourself blowing this bubble away from you.
Imagine yourself with every breath sending all of these things off flying into the universe where they can be transformed and repurposed in more positive ways.
Visualize them leaving you completely and feel a sense of relief and peace as you do this.
And with every deep breath that you exhale,
That bubble gets further and further and further away.
As you look down at your waist,
The rope that was tying you to the bubble just drops to the floor.
You're free.
You're free.
You are free.
As you stand there and bask in the light of the full moon,
Just take a moment to reflect on how far you have come and all the positive changes that you have made in your life.
Know deep down inside that you are capable of achieving anything that you set your mind to.
And by doing this work today,
By cutting the cord,
By releasing what no longer serves you,
You have created space in your life for new and positive experiences to come in.
Finally,
Take a moment to just thank yourself for releasing these things and being able to let them go.
Thank yourself for knowing all the positive changes that will now come to you as a result.
Know that you can return to this peaceful space under the full moon whenever you need to let go of what no longer serves you.
And now as you come back to your happy place,
Whether that be the beach,
The forest,
A lake,
A city,
Just take a moment to look up at the full moon and thank her for all that she was able to release.
In your visualization you can close your eyes if that helps.
Really feel gratitude for the moon being able to help you release what no longer serves you.
And whenever you're ready,
You can slowly start to bring your awareness back to where you are right now in your reality.
Start by slowly wiggling your fingers and maybe even your toes,
Just bringing your consciousness gently back to your body.
You might want to roll your head from side to side or even yawn and stretch if that feels appropriate.
And then when it feels right for you,
You can open your eyes and return to the room once again feeling refreshed and renewed.
All of your feelings about that situation that you once felt connected to have now dissipated.
You are free.
