Welcome to this guided meditation for healing your inner child.
Take a moment to settle into a comfortable position.
You can either sit or lie down,
Whatever feels best for you.
When you're ready,
Gently begin by closing your eyes and bringing your awareness to your breath.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in through your nose and exhale softly through your mouth.
Just feel that rise and fall of your chest as you breathe.
And just allow each exhale to soften your body,
Letting go of any tension and grounding yourself in this present moment.
Take one more deep breath in,
Imagining pure light filling your lungs.
And then as you exhale,
Just let go of any heaviness or stress.
This is your time,
Your sacred space to connect with your inner self.
I'd like you to visualize yourself standing in a serene meadow.
The sun is shining warmly above you.
There's a soft scent of flowers that drifts on the gentle breeze.
You feel safe,
Supported and at peace in this beautiful place.
And as you look over into the distance,
You notice a small child.
This child is you.
It's a younger version of you.
Carrying all the innocence,
Wonder and maybe even wounds of your past.
They may look like you at a particular age or they may just simply feel familiar.
Trust what comes to mind.
Begin walking towards this child.
Each step guided by love and compassion.
And just notice how they react as you approach them.
Are they curious?
Are they shy?
Are they excited?
Let them be as they are.
And just meet them with unconditional acceptance.
And when you're ready to,
I'd like you to kneel or sit down to their level.
Gently say hello,
Introducing yourself as the person that they've grown into.
Let them know you're here to listen,
Support and heal together.
Take a moment to ask this child what they need.
Perhaps that might be love,
Reassurance or even forgiveness.
Perhaps they simply want to be seen and acknowledged.
Open your heart and let them express themselves in whatever way feels natural.
If your inner child shares any emotions,
Allow them to flow without judgment.
You're here as a loving presence holding space for them.
Now place your hand on your heart and imagine a warm golden light glowing within you.
This light represents your love,
Wisdom and healing energy.
And as you breathe,
See this golden light expand and grow brighter,
Filling your entire chest and radiating outward.
Visualize gently placing your hands over your inner child's heart or even holding their hands.
And as you do,
Send this golden light to them,
Surrounding them with warmth,
Love and safety.
Let them feel your care and support.
Say to your inner child,
I see you,
I hear you,
You are safe,
You are loved and I am here for you now and always.
Repeat these affirmations or any words of comfort that come naturally to you.
I see you,
I hear you,
You are safe,
You are loved,
I am here for you now and always.
Now I'd just like you to take a few moments to simply sit with your inner child.
Just enjoy that sense of connection.
If it feels right,
You could even offer them a hug or hold their hand.
Just let them know that they are always welcome in your heart and you will carry their joy and light forward into your life.
When you feel ready to,
Gently guide your inner child back into that serene meadow.
Just watch as they feel lighter,
Happier and more at peace.
We're going to say goodbye now.
So you can end this with a hug,
With a kiss,
With a handhold or even just a wave.
Knowing that you can return to this place whenever you need.
Now bring your awareness back to your breath.
Feel the ground beneath you and the weight of your body resting comfortably.
Take a deep inhale,
Drawing in all the love and healing from this meditation.
And just exhale softly,
Grounding it into your being.
Wiggle your fingers and your toes,
Letting yourself return to the present moment.
When you're ready,
Gently open your eyes,
Feeling more refreshed,
Centered and filled with love for your inner child and your beautiful self.
Just take a moment to thank yourself for this act of self-love and healing.
You are never alone.
Your inner child is always with you.
And you have the power to nurture and heal them whenever they need.
Carry this love and compassion with you as you move forward throughout the rest of your day.
