Start by sitting comfortably facing each other.

Look into each other's eyes and recognize the person in front of you who is here with you,

Just as you are,

Fully dedicated to nourishing this unique and special connection.

Together,

Take a deep breath in through your nose and exhale through your mouth.

Place one of your hands on your partner,

Then place your other hand on top of your partner's hand.

Close your eyes and begin to notice the sensation of breathing.

Feel the breath coming in and out of your nose.

Relax your forehead and your eyebrows.

Relax your jaw,

Your tongue.

Relax your shoulders.

Start to notice the connection of your partner's hand on your chest.

Feel if the hand is warm or maybe a bit cold.

Feel your own hands.

Feel if you can feel your partner's breath with your hand.

Feel your partner with your hand on their chest.

You are here together,

Feeling each other's heartbeat,

Present.

Just being yourselves in this safe space of acceptance,

Care and respect.

Showing up for each other and allowing yourselves to be seen,

Just feeling,

Without judgment.

Begin to think something that you're grateful for in your connection.

Let these feelings of gratitude fill your chest.

As you inhale,

Fill your chest with gratitude.

As you exhale,

Let your body relax.

Let these feelings of gratitude travel from your chest to the back of your eyes and rest there savouring the sense of gratitude.

Take a deep breath together.

And as you exhale,

Continue imagining this gratitude now gathering behind your eyelids.

Slowly open your eyes and make eye contact with your partner.

Maybe a natural smile appears on your face.

Relax your hand from your partner and your other hand.

Thank each other with a hug.

May this simple and profound feeling of connection stay with you as life unfolds.
