You yearn to connect with God in a deeper way.

You yearn for peace that only this deeper connection can provide.

So let us today pray with Psalm 37.

We'll pray in the Lectio Divina way,

Which is praying with the psalm and actually allowing the psalm through the presence of the Holy Spirit to pray through you.

I will repeat the psalm four times and after each reading I will guide you and help you to tap into it in a way that perhaps you have never even heard before.

So let us begin.

Find a comfortable place to sit where you can be attentive and relaxed.

Feel your feet resting on the floor,

Feel the chair supporting you,

Feel your body relaxed into this space,

Into the present moment.

And to you our God we open up our time,

We come with gratitude,

We come with open minds and hearts willing to receive from you.

Allow your Holy Spirit to speak through these words of scripture into our entire being.

Trust in your God.

Do good with faith and you will live securely.

Find your happiness in God for God longs to give you the desires of your heart.

Commit your way to God and he will act for you making your path clear and your integrity shine like the sun.

In silence and stillness wait upon God and he will raise you up and will support your way.

Though you may stumble you will not fall for God holds your hand and those at peace with God will have a secure future.

And now simply breathe with those words and notice what word or phrase may have struck you or is stirring in you now after the first time you heard it.

Simply let it rest in your heart as you hear these words again.

Trust in your God.

In silence and stillness wait upon God and he will raise you up and support your steps.

And now after hearing that scripture again allowing it to sink deeper like fresh water on dry ground what is the spirit revealing to you?

Is there an area in your life that the spirit is speaking into?

Inviting you into.

And hear the spirit speak.

Trust in your God.

And where do you feel the invitation of God inviting you to go deeper,

Trusting,

Committing your way?

Receive these words.

Trust in your God.

Commit your way to God and God will make your path clear and your integrity shine like the sun.

In silence and stillness wait on God who will raise you up and will support you.

Though you may stumble you will not fall for God holds your hand and you are at peace with God.

And now let's take a few moments to reflect on this prayer time.

Notice if there was a word or a phrase that continued to stir in you or do you feel it leading of the Holy Spirit.

Simply notice it and tuck it into your heart pocket.

Take that with you whatever movement that might be,

Whatever the invitation is.

Simply receive it as the Holy Spirit is truly doing a work within you.
