Transcript

Begin by gently closing your eyes and lengthening your breath.

Each inhalation is like waves moving upon the shore,

And each exhalation are like the waves gently moving back out to sea.

Notice the rise and fall of your belly and chest,

Ebbing and flowing back and forth like waves gently lapping the shore of the ocean.

Imagine the pungent sea air penetrating into your nose,

Gently misting your skin.

Feel a gentle breeze moving through your hair.

Imagine warm glowing sunlight gently caressing your skin.

Notice the sounds of the waves and seagulls overhead,

Gently backing you into a state of deeper and deeper peace.

Breathe breathing easily,

Peacefully.

Imagine your toes squishing into the sand as you gently make your way upon the shore.

A short distance away you notice a beautiful treasure lying upon the beach.

As you come closer you bend down to pick it up,

Admiring it for all of its natural beauty.

You place it in your pocket for safekeeping as you continue to make your way along the beach,

Listening to the tranquil sounds of Mother Nature surrounding you now.

Experience your senses in this beautiful healing atmosphere.

Soon you come upon your beach blanket and gently lie down as your gaze wanders out to the vast ocean before you,

Feeling so peaceful and so relaxed.

You let go of any concerns or worries,

Feeling any tension just drain down into the earth below you as you continue breathing easily and peacefully.

Know that you can return to this sacred space at any time simply by bringing your awareness back to the images and feelings that you've conjured here.

Know that the safe,

Sacred space is yours anytime you're feeling overwhelmed or you simply need a peaceful place to go and relax.

Now lie back and allow your senses to once again be immersed in the beautiful ocean breeze that surrounds you,

The enchanting sounds all around you,

The pungency air that flows into you.

Feeling so peaceful and so relaxed.

Very insightful. Practicing loving kindness for oneself at any age is very important for a feeling of contentment and satisfaction. At 77, I cherish the decades, long experience I have in this area. And as I approach Retirement, I feel hopeful and joyful. When I focus on the work I am doing in the production of mindful meditation materials with breathing and self composed music.

I loved every thing about this with the tiny exception of the very end. Instead of just cutting off, a "Namaste" or soft chime/bell would have been perfect, I think. Nonetheless, 5 stars and a "thank you" for this.

Very relaxing. Your voice is clear and calming. I liked how you left pauses throughout to encourage relaxation and visualization. You should definitely do more. A gentle 20 -30 minute sleep meditation is always welcomed here.
