Taking a moment now for yourself to find a comfortable,
Supported position.
Maybe even a regal one,
In reverence for the care we bring into the world.
Taking a moment to feel the support of the seat beneath you.
Perhaps starting to become aware of the body as a whole.
Noticing any areas of spaciousness or ease.
And any areas of tension or tiredness.
Simply becoming aware.
And if it feels comforting in this moment,
You might close your eyes or allow your gaze to soften downward.
As you begin to notice the gentle movement of the breath in your body.
It's noticing.
Rise and fall of the body as the breath flows in and out.
And we'll gently scan through the body together,
Not to fix anything but to offer appreciation.
To arrive more fully.
Coming home to ourselves.
And taking this time to connect with appreciation and setting aside the need to strive or solve or fix anything.
You do so much already and this is your moment to receive care.
So with that,
Bringing some awareness to your feet.
And perhaps wiggling your toes a bit as if they were squishing through soft warm sand.
Just noticing the sensations,
Any sensations of warmth or tingling.
As you breathe in and out.
And allowing the soles of the feet to rest on the floor.
Feeling that contact with the earth beneath us.
The Earth connecting us all in this shared moment.
Appreciating that you are part of an Earth-wide community.
Bringing awareness to your lower body or legs.
Noticing any sensations of weight,
Volume,
Steadiness.
Appreciating how that part of you carries you through your day,
Helping you feel connected and balanced.
And bringing awareness to your belly.
And perhaps inviting your belly to be soft.
No need to hold.
Imagining the belly like a balloon,
Gently expanding on the in-breath.
Allowed to settle on the out-breath.
Offering appreciation for that gut sense,
The intuitive intelligence held there.
And bringing awareness to the heart space.
And if you feel moved too,
You might place a hand there.
Noticing the care and courage that pulses there.
The old French word courage to have heart.
That you have heart even in a world that can feel so uncertain and uncaring at times.
How special that is.
And bringing awareness to your back.
A part that supports and staying upright and present.
Steady.
Even in difficult moments.
Quiet.
Tree-like kind of strength.
I might bring awareness to the spine.
And become aware of how each photograph Stands united,
Made strong by relying on each other.
Appreciating that we don't need to do it alone,
That we too deserve support.
You deserve support.
And that through support you are strong.
Stronger together.
Bringing awareness now to the shoulders.
That sometimes carry more than they were meant to.
And allowing your shoulders to soften even just a little.
Bringing awareness to arms and hands.
These parts of us that hold.
That express.
That communicate empathy and understanding in so many ways.
Offering appreciation for their efforts.
And bringing awareness to the throat,
Our vocal space,
The place from which words,
Reflections,
Questions,
And sometimes even truths arise.
Appreciating how your voice offers.
Comfort,
Communication.
Clarity.
Bringing sweet awareness now to the eyes or the parts of you that vision.
I've witnessed so much.
In a day moments of confusion and clarity.
Despair and revelation.
Our vision reminding us of the balance of life's darkness and lightness.
Offering them.
A humble thank you for their work.
Bringing awareness now to the forehead and head.
Thank you.
The parts of us that hold insight,
That plan and reflect.
At work alongside our lived experience.
Intuition.
Offering appreciation.
For your powerful,
Magnificent mind.
And inviting in a full breath in.
And full breath out.
And once again,
A full breath in.
And full breath out.
And one more time,
Full breath in and full breath out.
Appreciating yourself for being here.
Appreciating yourself for the work you do.
Appreciating your enoughness at all times.
Even on the days when maybe you're not feeling your best.
You are worthy of appreciating.
