Hello,

It's Lydia.

Take a moment and let yourself settle in and allow yourself to arrive.

This is your mindful afternoon meditation.

Let yourself find a comfortable seat,

Whatever that comfortable seat is for you.

You might be lying down or you might be in a chair.

Just notice here your natural flow of breath.

Notice the air as it fills your belly,

Lungs,

And ribcage.

Notice the air as it comes out of your nose.

Notice if you're breathing in your chest,

Your throat,

Or your belly.

Bring your attention to the sounds farthest from you.

And then bring your attention to the sounds closest to you.

As you inhale,

The earth rises up to hold you.

And as you exhale,

You sink deeper into the earth.

Bring your awareness to the left side of your body and then to the right.

And then bring your awareness to your body as a whole.

Just notice.

Any thoughts that arise,

Just notice.

Any body sensations,

Just notice.

And as you breathe,

Let yourself sink further into the earth.

Let your breath nourish you as you take this time for yourself and bless your body for what you're doing for it now.

And when you're ready,

Begin to look around the room and wiggle your fingers and toes and bring your hands to heart center.

And thank you for breathing with me today.
