Take a moment to become still,
Lower the gaze or close the eyes,
Leave behind what has already happened and what is still to come.
Begin to feel into your body,
Notice the sensations on your skin and the gentle rise and fall of your chest.
Become aware of the cool air as it enters through the nostrils and makes its way deep into your lungs.
Notice how the air has been warmed by your body as it slowly returns,
This magnificent process happening with no control at all,
In and out the breath flows.
Continue to follow your breath,
Breathing in 3,

1,
Breathing out 3,
2,
1.
Notice how you feel in this moment,
Perhaps there is resistance or increased mental chatter,
Whatever comes,
Allow it to exist as you exist in this moment,
Put all judgements aside and be only in this present moment,
You are safe,
You are calm,
You are present.
Continue to focus on your breath,
Inhaling peace and calm,
Exhaling joy and happiness.
Feel your feet connected to the earth beneath you,
Knowing you are held and steady.
Feel the sensations on your skin.
Become aware of where you physically are in this moment.
Take one more deep breath and when you are ready,
Begin to return to this present moment.
Gently lift the gaze or open the eyes,
Welcome back,
Carry this feeling of peace with you throughout the rest of your day.
