Good morning,
Welcome to a brand new day.
I invite you to spend these first few moments setting an intention for the day.
Taking a moment to yourself before the world gets busy around you.
To be grounded,
Centred,
Shielded.
And so I invite you,
In a position that's comfortable for you,
Whether that's laying down,
Sitting or standing,
To feel all the places where your body connects with the ground beneath you and to get a sense of being rooted,
Connected.
To feel all those edges and to know that this is earth.
To take a deep inhale,
Breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth,
And know that this is air.
Running your tongue over your teeth or the inside of your cheek and know that this is water.
Feeling your pulse in your wrists or your heart or somewhere else on your body and know that this is fire.
Breathing in a gentle way.
Bringing your attention now to your physical body as we scan from the bottom of your feet,
Past your toes and the soles of your feet,
Your ankles,
Up through your calves and your knees and thighs and hips.
Your waist up through your spine and back and tummy.
Up to your neck and shoulders,
Down through your elbows and wrists and hands.
And then back up the inside of your arms,
Up through your neck and your face,
Waking up your face.
Up through to the top of your head,
Just getting a sense of your physical form.
Welcome back to your physical form this morning.
Taking a moment to see if anything comes to mind that you need to remember.
Taking a moment to feel if there's an intention for the day,
A word or a feeling.
An affirmation perhaps,
Just seeing what arises and notice.
And breathing and just arriving into this day.
And if anything's coming up as an intention,
Just affirming that that is the energy you will take through the day.
Perhaps it's peace or clarity,
Perhaps it's joy or action,
Something you need to get done.
And I offer you the blessing now of that being fulfilled today.
And breathing together here.
Bringing our energy back to all those places that our body is in contact with the surface beneath us,
Whether that's our feet touching the floor or your back on the mattress.
And wherever you choose,
Somewhere in contact with the surface beneath you.
Bringing a chord down now,
Imaginary chord,
Just thinking of a light,
Something simple or roots down through the surface beneath you and down,
Down,
Down,
Through the earth,
All the layers of earth,
Down,
Down,
Down.
Rooted,
Grounded,
Connected.
And bringing your attention to your heart space in the very middle of yourself.
And knowing you are connected.
Feeling centered,
A sense of equilibrium here.
And breathing.
And bringing that light up through the earth,
Up through that chord.
Up through your center and out through your heart space and hands,
All the way around you,
A beautiful shield of light.
Perhaps there are colors or textures or sounds within it.
It's about an arm length all the way around you.
You are grounded,
You are centered,
You are shielded,
Protected and ready for a brand new day.

I offer you the blessing of joy.
