The Chariot - This is a guided visual meditation to support you in feeling unstuck and moving forward. For those times when you need a little momentum to get you moving forward even when you're not sure which direction to go.

Welcome to today's meditation,

The Chariot.

Great for times where you're feeling like you're not sure which direction to go.

This meditation may guide you into a sense of trust that you're going in the direction that is best for you now.

Finding somewhere comfortable to sit,

Laying down if that's more comfortable for you.

If you're seated,

Placing your feet on the floor and if you're laying down,

Have the feet about hip-width apart,

Palms facing up and away from the body.

And taking three deep breaths in through the nose and exhaling out the mouth.

Two more just like this.

Inhale,

Exhale,

Inhale,

Exhale.

And start to notice the natural rhythm of your breath.

Just observing the gentle rise and fall through the abdomen.

Notice an easing through the shoulders and a softening across the face.

Your spine is nice and straight,

Tall or long.

Just notice how the breath effortlessly moves through the body,

In and out within its own rhythm.

And I invite you to imagine a place that you love.

It could be real or imagined.

Once you see this place,

You can make it up if you wish.

Just notice in your mind's eye or in your imagination that you see a chariot,

A vehicle,

A vessel.

Something that is of the size that it can comfortably hold you,

Where you could sit within this or stand.

And what does this chariot look like?

Just walking up to this vehicle,

This vessel,

Walking around the shape.

What colour is it?

What is it made of?

And perhaps you gently reach your fingertips out to touch this shape,

This vessel,

This vehicle.

Gently running your fingers along the textures,

Noticing if it's cool or warm.

Running your fingers along until you find a way to access your vehicle,

Your chariot.

An invitation to enter the chariot in whichever way feels right.

There may be a door,

A window,

You might jump right up.

Once you're inside,

What do you see?

What's your viewpoint?

Might there be something you see far off in the distance?

Might there be a place you'd like to go?

And taking a look within your vessel,

Your vehicle,

Your chariot and taking a look outside,

The outside world,

The landscape.

And with three deep breaths is all it takes for you to get going in a forward momentum in your personally designed chariot.

Breathing in,

Breathing out and breathing in and out.

One more deep breath in and out.

You're ready.

Off you go.

Are you moving effortlessly?

Is your chariot driving forward?

Is it rolling?

Is it flying?

This is your vessel and it can move as you choose.

It can take any direction at will simply by the thought in your mind.

Where would you like to go?

Where are you going?

You're already on your way.

Enjoy this sense of freedom in this movement.

Feel free to land at various places and linger a little longer.

Know that you can step within your chariot at any time you wish.

Anytime you may feel that little forward momentum to take you somewhere you'd like to go.
