Welcome back.
Today's meditation is about opening the throat chakra.
So find a comfortable place where you can rest.
Either seated or lying down.
Just allow your body to settle and soften.
Knowing that there's nothing you need to do right now.
Nowhere you need to be.
Simply give yourself permission to arrive.
The throat chakra is the center of expression,
Communication,
And truth.
Often when emotions,
Thoughts,
Or words become stuck inside of us,
When they can't move freely from the heart and out through the mouth,
The throat can begin to feel tight,
Restricted,
Or closed.
We carry conversations we never had,
Feelings we never expressed,
And truths that we've been afraid to speak.
So today we gently create space.
Take a slow breath in through the nose.
And a soft breath out through the mouth.
Again,
Inhale.
And exhale.
And bring your awareness to your throat.
Notice any sensation there without trying to change it.
Simply observe.
And now on your next exhale,
Create a gentle hum.
Mmmmmmm.
Feel the vibration moving through your lips,
Jaw,
Throat,
And neck.
Again,
Inhale gently.
And hum.
Mmmmm.
Allow the vibration to massage and soften the muscles of the throat.
Imagine creating a little more space with each sound.
And now return to the natural breath.
As you breathe,
Imagine a soft blue light at the center of your throat With each inhale,
The light grows a little brighter.
With each exhale,
It expands a little wider.
Releasing tension.
Fear.
And anything that no longer needs to be held.
And silently repeat I honor my truth.
I allow my feelings to move through me.
My voice deserves to be heard.
I express myself with ease And take one final deep breath in.
And a long,
Slow breath out.
Notice the space you've created Notice the softness the openness.
And when you're ready,
Gently begin to bring your awareness back to the room.
Carrying this sense of freedom and expression with you.
This was a short practice,
But know that it's begun the shift in your throat chakra to allow you to express yourself more genuinely to the world around you.
May you know peace.
