If you're here,
It may be because something feels unsteady right now.
Maybe your thoughts are racing,
Your body feels unsettled,
Or there's just a sense that things are off just a bit.
You don't need to understand it and you don't need to fix it.
This is simply a short pause,
A place to study yourself and reconnect with what's here now.
Nothing is required of you.
We'll move gently,
One moment at a time.
When you're ready,
We'll begin with the first anchor,
The body.
Gently bring your attention to where your body is supported right now.
Notice the surface beneath you,
The weight of your body being held.
You don't have to change anything,
Just notice where you're already supported.
Now,
Let's move to the second anchor,
Our breath.
Without changing it,
Notice where you feel your breath most easily.
Maybe it's your nose,
The chest,
Or maybe your belly.
Stay with just one breath at a time,
In and out.
If your breath feels shallow or uneven,
That's okay.
Simply noticing is enough.
And now our third anchor,
Our senses.
Quietly notice three things you can sense right now.
Maybe it's a sound,
A physical sensation,
Or something you can see if your eyes are open.
Name them gently,
One at a time.
No need to search,
Just notice what's already here.
As you rest with these three anchors,
Body,
Breath,
And senses,
Know that you can return to any one of them whenever things feel unsteady.
You don't need to fix anything in this moment.
You're simply here,
And that is enough.
Take one final,
Gentle breath.
And when you're ready,
Gently float your eyes open or refocus your gaze,
And slowly return to your day.
