Whatever today held,

You don't need to solve it now.

Pause for a moment,

Notice that you have arrived here.

This is a soft landing place,

Where thinking can slow and effort can dissolve.

I invite you to get yourself comfortable,

Adjust,

Wiggle,

Settle.

Gently close your eyes or soften your gaze.

And feel your breath moving naturally.

There's no need to control it.

Inhale and exhale.

If thoughts begin to move through your mind,

Imagine them as leaves floating past you in a slow moving stream.

They don't need your attention.

They don't need answers.

Just movement and space.

And if you notice your mind wandering,

Gently return it to the feeling of breathing in and out.

Reassure yourself in a whisper,

Nothing needs my attention right now.

Take one more slow breath.

Let the mind rest like a lake at dusk,

Still,

Wide,

And quiet.

You may drift into sleep or simply remain here in calm.

Either way,

This is enough.

Rest well.
