This beginner practice invites gentle awareness of the head and the heart as places in the body you can feel. There is nothing to fix or adjust. Just noticing how the head rests on the spine and how the heart area feels in this moment. This practice continues the Beginner series by supporting a sense of ease, steadiness, and simple presence before moving on to other parts of the body. Part of the Beginner Meditation Practice series from 2.1 to 2.10 by Lea Paz.

Hi love,

Welcome back to sacred.

Take a moment with me.

Today we're meeting the head and the heart.

Not as ideas,

But as places in the body you can feel.

You don't need to do anything special.

Just notice.

In a moment,

You'll hear a bell.

When it rings,

Let that sound invite a soft settling.

Nothing to adjust,

Just letting things rest where they are.

I invite you to let the head balance gently on the spine.

Not held up,

Not dropped,

Just resting.

Notice the face,

The jaw,

Maybe even the space behind the eyes.

If anything can soften,

You are welcome to let it soften.

Now bring a gentle awareness to the chest area.

Not forcing a feeling,

Just sensing the place where the heart lives.

The rise and the fall,

The quiet presence there.

I invite you to let the head and the heart sit together,

Supported by the spine.

Something easy,

Something steady,

Nothing extra.

We will sit in a few seconds of silence and your head and heart practice is done.

Thank you so much for being here in sacred space.

I am very grateful that we shared this moment.

Namaste.
