Namaste and welcome to the Spirit Room's daily podcast,
In the Flow with Lori Albert,
Where we discuss spirituality,
Meditate,
And allow positivity to envelop every aspect of our souls.
Welcome.
So the energy happening right now,
Are you feeling it?
It's just incredible.
I recently just learned that apparently the first two weeks of May are complete forward moving for us spiritually.
I can't wait to feel this.
I don't know.
I just feel like that I need to just let go of like everything and just allow it to happen in these first two weeks of May.
I'm so excited.
Like what's going to happen?
Ooh,
It's exciting.
And you know,
I wanted to say that right now,
It's truly amazing to sit in the stillness in our morning meditation and just give it all up to spirit.
I mean,
This is incredible and I can't wait to see how you guys feel when you sit in the stillness in these next two weeks,
Because I think it's going to be really forward moving.
This is exciting.
That's why today I want to talk for a minute,
Before we meditate,
On feeling this energy and how it relates to gratitude in a sense.
The reality is what I want to do is give you a sort of little bit of advice that I recently realized that I do in my meditation.
And you know what?
Sometimes you do things when you're sitting in meditation and you don't even sort of realize that you're doing it,
If that makes any sense.
Actually,
It's something that I do when I'm sitting in the stillness.
So obviously,
Okay,
So we all have our own way of sitting in the stillness.
And honestly,
Whatever works for you is truly the way that it's supposed to be.
Okay.
I know you guys know that I believe that,
But you know,
If I tell you something and it doesn't feel right for you,
Throw it out.
Do your own thing.
Whatever makes you feel spiritually connected is going to be the right way for you.
However,
I feel like that if I keep throwing things out,
Maybe you'll get it and you'll feel it on a,
You know,
This particular,
Whatever it is,
Little hint that I do might make sense to you.
But if it doesn't,
That's okay too.
So what I want to throw out to you right now about this is sometimes,
You know,
You have that day or those days,
I should say it that way,
Those days where the thoughts you're sitting in meditation and the thoughts just keep coming over and over and over and you can't sit.
It's like,
Why am I even sitting?
Why am I even bothering?
This is what I end up doing and it completely works like a charm every time.
So you're having all these thoughts,
Blah,
Blah,
Blah,
And you're almost ready to give up.
My little thing that I do is this.
I just start saying thank you over and over and over to myself.
So I will just say thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you.
And I don't do it out loud.
It's just,
It's just in my head.
Yes,
I realize this is a mantra.
I do realize that.
And in a sense,
If you think about it,
It's kind of an affirmation too,
You know,
But here's the thing.
Whenever I say thank you over and over and over again,
I realize how much it calms me down and it allows me to focus on everything or nothing.
I guess I should say it that way.
It allows me to focus on nothing and you know,
Gratitude and thank you versus,
Okay,
When I go to the store,
I got to get fish.
I got to get salad dressing.
I got to that.
I got to get this,
Whatever.
So it's kind of like I'm giving everything up to the universe.
I'm giving in my,
In my head whenever I say thank you over and over again,
I'm giving it all up to the universe and I'm having this conversation with spirit,
God,
Universe,
Whatever you want to call it.
And really it's not like when I do this,
I'm not focusing on that I'm grateful for my house or my car,
My family.
Like I'm not,
I'm not focusing on any one specific thing or that list.
It's just being grateful for life.
I hope that makes sense.
But you know,
It's really interesting because it's also about just being grateful for where I am.
It brings me kind of to the present moment and it's just like everything,
Everything.
I'm grateful for everything.
How amazing is that?
I love that,
Right?
Okay.
So this is what we're going to meditate on today.
Obviously gratitude,
That all encompassing,
Life assuring,
Magnificent,
Calming gratitude.
How amazing.
I love that.
Okay.
So now as we start meditating and beginning to use thank you as our mantra,
Let's reach down into our heart chakra.
This is where gratitude sits.
So whenever you're going throughout your,
Hopefully you're going through your gratitude ritual for the day or whatever.
So let's get ourselves comfy.
As you know,
I like to say,
Begin to feel your body relax.
Let's take a deep breath in and release it very slowly.
Perfect.
Now you may notice that you are already having thoughts,
Your laundry list of things to do.
So firstly,
Let's just imagine our,
Our hand just moving those thoughts to the side very gently and easily.
And let's begin saying the mantra.
Thank you.
Deep down into your heart.
Say thank you.
Thank you.
Beautiful.
If you want to feel that gratitude even more profoundly,
Put your hand over your heart and allow your energy from your being to connect with your heart.
Feeling that gratitude and love and compassion for yourself.
And repeating thank you over and over.
I will keep the time.
Let's begin.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
We can start bringing our awareness back to our bodies.
The room where we are,
The chair we're sitting in.
Feeling complete and in gratitude for the opportunity to sit in stillness and gratitude.
We thank you,
Universe.
Thank you.
Namaste.
