Namaste everybody.
Welcome to In the Flow.
And are we ready to meditate today?
So the Dalai Lama,
One of my very favorite people of all time,
Said,
I find hope in the darkest of days and focus in the brightest.
I do not judge the universe.
So I find that quote to be so obviously right at this time to be so amazing.
First of all because we are in quarantine and it's bringing up so many emotions and so many thoughts,
Right?
The question is regarding this quote,
Are we willing to see these lessons of hope and focus,
You know?
And can we focus on those circumstances of our lives and implement those lessons that we've learned?
Or are we too focused on just getting through the day and making sure that nothing bad happens?
That's the big question for the day.
And what's interesting is that,
You know,
I've been learning so much about myself as well.
I'm sure we all have these last however many months it's been.
And you know my daughter is 23 years old and she is getting ready to embark on her life and she wants to be of service to the people of the world so she's probably going to be leaving our household.
And my big lesson,
My big huge lesson that I keep trying to teach myself over and over and over again is that I need to grasp on to every single moment that's here with her.
You know,
Every single moment that I have with her,
She just had a birthday and it's like I keep thinking to myself,
This could be the last birthday that I spend with her.
That is such a huge lesson and that's a lesson that a lot of people including myself might be scared of.
But we can't be.
We can't be scared of those lessons that we are learning because we're gonna keep having those same lessons come to us unless we learn from them,
Right?
So my big lesson is,
And I gotta be honest,
Today I am going to spend the day with my kid.
I mean I get caught up as we all do in our own lives and our own stuff that's going on and and you know stuff that we need to do for ourselves.
Stuff that can wait personally.
I mean actually can wait.
So today that's my goal is to,
I don't know,
Play games,
Go shopping,
Whatever.
Well okay maybe not go shopping.
You know,
Go to the grocery store,
Right?
So this is what we're gonna meditate on today.
We're gonna focus on recognizing and appreciating the lessons that spirit puts in front of us for us to see and learn.
So let's get comfy.
Let's get ourselves comfy and let's take a nice deep breath in.
Breathe in through your nose and release.
Perfect.
Very good.
Let's do that again.
Breathe in through your nose really really slow and breathe out.
Perfect.
I think it's kind of appropriate for us today to begin our meditation focusing on those three things that we are grateful for today.
What are three things that you are grateful for today?
I am grateful that my daughter is in the other room and then I get to see her.
I'm grateful that the weather is good and beautiful.
What are you grateful for?
So today's mantra that we are going to use is a Sanskrit word,
Sati.
Sati.
This word means mindfulness and awareness.
So basically as we repeat it we are bringing awareness into our lives,
Bringing mindfulness into our lives and into our consciousness.
Now as we say our mantra today I want us all to focus on our breathing as well.
Focus on breathing in and out.
Sati.
Sati.
You can say the word with your breath if that makes it easier for you.
If you lose your way as we're meditating it's okay gently bring yourself back to the mantra or you can just focus on your breath.
Very good.
I will keep the time and let's begin.
Sati.
Sati.
Sati.

Let's start bringing our awareness back to our bodies and the chair that we're sitting in and the room that we are in.
Let's take a nice very long deep deep breath in through your nose and release.
You can open your eyes whenever you feel comfortable.
I have to tell you guys I am like almost in tears.
That meditation brought up so much gratitude.
So much gratitude.
Oh my gosh.
Did you guys feel the gratitude?
Oh my goodness.
That felt so good.
I am like I feel like I am the most fortunate and the luckiest person in the world.
So um yeah that was great.
So thank you so much for joining me everybody today.
Good morning.
Good evening.
Wherever you are in the world I appreciate you all being with me today and take take the lessons with you for the rest of the day and take the gratitude with you.
Namaste everybody.
Thank you for joining.
Bye bye.
