Let's begin our day with a little bit of happy talk and meditation in this short yet impactful podcast designed to infuse a little bit of positivity into each moment of every day.
Let's get in the flow.
Okay,
So it's a stressful time right now,
Right?
Summer is here.
It's the heat.
Well,
For us it is in the United States.
We've got back to school stuff going on,
Hopefully.
We've got virus worries.
We've got job worries.
We've got relationship and family.
All these worries.
All these things to worry about.
But where does it end?
You know,
Where does that worry stop?
How can we get it to stop?
Well,
We must remember that the past is over,
Right?
The past is complete.
There's nothing we can do about that.
And then we also must remember that the future has not happened yet.
So what do we have left?
What we have left is right here,
Right now,
Right?
What can we do about the right here,
Right now?
I saw,
You know what,
It's so funny when things come into your consciousness,
Right?
I saw a little phrase,
I'm going to tell you in a sec,
But I saw,
I'd never like heard this phrase before.
And then all of a sudden I heard it like three or four times right in a row by different people.
Isn't that crazy?
This is the phrase.
It's always now.
Now of course we've heard that before,
Right?
But it's always now.
Just like for some reason,
I'm sure I've heard it before,
But yesterday it just like hit me in the face between the eyes,
You know,
It's always now.
So we should appreciate the now.
Don't you think?
So as I was getting ready to be here today,
I have my window open and it's very early in the morning here and I have my window open and I'm getting in the present moment and all of a sudden,
And it's a big window that I have,
Windows open,
All of a sudden something made me turn over and there is,
Oh my God,
I'm going to get emotional talking about it.
But there was a hummingbird literally this far,
This close to the,
To the screen of the window just looking at me.
And I was like,
Oh my gosh.
Right?
I just,
I mean it shocked me because a hummingbird staring at me,
You know,
And I was like,
Wow,
If I had been busy getting ready for this or thinking about something that happened earlier or worrying about sleep or worrying about whatever,
I may not have looked over.
I may not have seen that.
And that just blows my mind when I consider how much,
How much do I miss sometimes by not being present?
How much do we miss by just like by worrying about the past and worrying about the future?
Isn't that an amazing thing to consider?
So where does it end?
It ends right here right now because we have that choice.
We have that choice.
We can be in the present moment right here.
I am very present to all of you being right here right now.
Let's find the gratitude in it.
I hope this helps.
Let's find the gratitude because if we,
If we can sit in the present moment and find the gratitude,
Whether we've had a horrible day or whether we've had a fantastic day sitting in the present moment,
Like sitting here right now,
Look around you where you are right now.
Look around you.
Would you say that really right here right now that everything is okay?
It is.
We're here.
We're sitting,
We're enjoying each other,
Hopefully.
So sitting in the present moment helps us to do a few things.
Get out of the past because the past is done.
We can't mess,
You know,
We,
There's nothing we can do about the bad day we had and there's nothing that we can do about tomorrow right here right now.
Wayne Dyer has this amazing quote that I love.
A great hallmark of mental wellness is the ability to be in the present moment fully and with no thoughts of being anywhere else.
So I invite you to take that on today.
Take that on with for you,
With you today or tonight or whenever it is for you,
Right?
So let's get ourselves comfortable and we are going to meditate on this,
Right?
Okay,
So let's get ourselves comfy,
Whatever that looks like for you.
It can be seated with your feet on the floor or cross-legged or you know,
Whatever that looks like for you.
Close your eyes and let's take a nice deep breath in and release it.
Wonderful.
So here's my question to you.
In sitting in the present moment,
What brings you joy?
What is something in life that brings you joy?
Is it a certain hamburger?
Is it a cup of coffee?
Is it your grandkids or your kids?
What brings you that when your heart just does that little flip,
That type of joy?
Very good.
You know what I love about saying all that?
There's no wrong answer.
You know,
It's so highly,
All of this is so highly personalized.
So our mantra for today.
It's kind of a new one that I haven't used before.
Kritana Hum.
Kritana Hum.
And what that means is I am gratitude.
Not I am grateful.
I am gratitude.
Right here,
Right now.
I am exuding.
I am gratitude.
Kritana Hum.
Kritana Hum.
In the present moment,
I am gratitude.
So we are going to say this to ourselves over and over again as we sit in the stillness for just those few short minutes.
Kritana Hum.
I will keep the time and let's begin.
Kritana Hum.
Kritana Hum.
Kritana Hum.
Kritana Hum.

Ica Kritana hum.
Kritana hum.
Kritana hum.
Let's start bringing our awareness back to our bodies.
Let's take a nice deep breath in,
Taking in all that gratitude and release.
Whenever you feel comfortable you can open your eyes.
Isn't that awesome?
You know when we take those few short minutes,
You know the worry of the past will be there,
The worry of the future that will be there too.
But you know when you take those few short minutes just for yourself.
Kritana hum and be gratitude.
So I invite you to take that on today.
Be the gratitude today.
Right?
Yay!
From my heart to yours.
Namaste.
