Namaste and welcome to the Spirit Rooms daily podcast,

In the Flow with Lori Albert,

Where we discuss spirituality,

Meditate,

And allow positivity to envelop every aspect of our souls.

Welcome.

It was Mother's Day yesterday,

Was it?

I hope all the mothers out there felt loved and cherished and supported.

I ate so much.

You know,

My husband cooked and my daughter and I had some like really needed bonding time.

I mean,

Like,

You know,

As they get older,

They just don't have time.

I was the same way,

You know?

So it was really,

It was really great.

But you know,

I just couldn't stop but thinking about my own mother,

Who,

Like I said,

Is not on this earth plane.

And I started,

Well,

I really started because I feel like I always knew,

To really comprehend how lucky I am.

And I started considering the deep connection of gratitude that I was feeling.

Okay.

And honestly,

I think that this subject is really,

Really needed.

A lot of people are just feeling down.

Mercury's going retrograde.

And that,

And this one is going to be a tough one.

I don't know.

I just have this.

I shouldn't have said that actually.

But I feel like that it's really,

Like people are really feeling these feelings right now.

So getting in touch with that deep gratitude within is going to be so,

So important.

And that's what I'm talking about as far as feeling,

Feeling the gratitude for my mother.

You know,

She was such a good mom.

Oh my God.

You know,

And I don't mean to sound like I'm bragging or anything,

But oh my God,

She supported us in whatever form we needed to be in.

And I can honestly say,

You guys know me a little bit,

Right?

I was a challenging child.

I was so lucky to have her.

I mean,

I know we chose each other.

Yes.

And we all,

You know,

We miss our moms.

I wouldn't say all of us because there are some where there was not a relationship there and all of that kind of stuff,

You know.

But you know,

I apologize to my mother every day in spirit because,

You know,

I am very aware of how grateful,

How lucky I am to have had her because yeah,

Clearly yes,

I was a challenging child.

So gratitude is pretty darn incredible when you really think about all the stuff that you were grateful for,

Like your house,

Your family,

Your things.

However,

In terms of affirmations,

I really feel like today it's important to take it to a whole deeper level with all this weird energy happening and with our emotions right at the surface.

Getting to that,

Considering the deeper levels of gratitude as we think about the affirmation that we want to create for ourselves today,

It's important to do.

It's important to go to that deeper level,

Especially today.

So what I mean by that is that is basically this.

If you are listening to this,

Think about this.

If you're listening to this,

Something about this topic or of affirmations or of gratitude or of the aspects of spirituality that I talk about on a regular basis,

They struck you as interesting.

Okay,

Now follow me.

And then you think how grateful that you are that there is actually a community of like-minded people,

Whether it's Insight Timer or Instagram or Facebook or whatever,

Finding that community of supportive people that we have created here is something to have deep,

Profound gratitude for.

We found each other and I don't think that that was an accident.

So obviously I can say that about us,

But let's also think about the rest of the relationships that we have in our lives that we have formed.

Like I have over the years,

Because I've been doing mediumship work for a long time,

Over the years I've created these amazing friendships with mediums and healers and Reiki people and just all the Lightworkers.

How awesome is that?

All because I seeked it out.

It's amazing.

I am so,

So grateful for that.

And I've learned so much from these people,

So,

So much from these people and my friends,

Even the friends obviously that are not into this stuff,

Right?

And all the love that we share back and forth.

That's what I mean by deep gratitude,

Right?

Deep gratitude.

That gratitude where you feel like you want to cry.

I don't want you all to cry.

It's not about that today.

So what I want you to do is think about this right now for yourself.

What are some things that you're grateful for that go way deep?

I know it's hard.

It's hard.

It could be distant family.

It could be lessons that you have learned over the years on this planet.

What causes you to feel that deep gratitude on that guttural level?

When you really start to consider this,

It can bring you to tears.

So as we all think about this,

Let's create that affirmation that we will use in our meditation today.

Okay,

So what is that one thing for you that you're feeling right now that comes to your mind where you feel that deep,

Profound gratitude for?

For me,

I am honored that I get to talk with you all like every day,

Almost every day.

And I get to discuss spiritual things,

Spiritual aspects for life.

I mean,

How lucky am I to get to do this and to have you guys listen in and we communicate about it and we connect on that soulful level.

So many of you guys reach out to me and I am again,

And I hate to keep using this word,

But truly profoundly grateful that I get the honor of being in this conversation with you guys and creating these friendships based not on I look into your eyes,

You look into my eyes and there's a connection there.

It's a deep,

Profound,

Spiritual connection.

So grateful for that.

So let me tell you about my,

And I've had a few minutes to think about this,

Right?

My affirmation for today is this,

My life is filled with beautiful,

Giving,

Caring souls that have found each other to be a light of love.

For me,

That's just,

It just takes me to a whole other place.

This whole entire conversation takes that gratitude to like a whole other level.

And we need that right now because things are crazy.

The energy is off.

It's funky.

We have been through,

I don't even know how many months,

But a few months of no retrogrades of any planet of any of that stuff.

And now all of a sudden there's things happening again.

And so we are just like,

Whoa.

And then we've got,

You know,

The solar flares coming in,

All of that stuff.

It all going back to that place of gratitude is what's going to help pull us out of that.

Creating that affirmation relating to gratitude.

That's how you create to me.

That's how I create my affirmations that I use for myself.

I think about what I'm grateful for and then I create the affirmation out of that.

My life is filled with beautiful,

Giving,

Caring souls that have found each other to be a light of love.

That's mine.

What is yours?

You can take mine if you want.

I don't get proprietary about it,

Right?

But okay,

So let's take our affirmation and it doesn't have to be a big dramatic thing.

You could just simply say,

I am grateful because maybe that strikes you in your place,

In your soul,

In your heart.

Everybody's different.

That's all.

It doesn't need to be a big dramatic thing like I make it.

Again,

It's that Aries of me,

Right?

It can only be,

It might only be something as simple as I am grateful.

So let's get ourselves situated because we're going to sit in the stillness for this,

Not for very long.

Get yourself comfortable.

Let's take a couple deep breaths in,

Okay,

Because we are feeling this energy right now and this emotion,

Right?

So let's breathe in and release really slow.

You might want to place your hand on your heart.

Take another deep breath in,

Breathing in gratitude and release.

Sometimes that's all we have in us.

It's just those deep breaths and that's okay.

Meet yourself where you are.

So as we consider the mantra that we've chosen for ourselves,

I want you to start with your hands on your heart.

Start repeating that to yourself over and over.

I will keep the time.

Let's begin.

Alright.

Let's take a really long,

Slow,

Deep breath in,

Breathing in super slow.

Hold the love there for just a few seconds and release it again very slowly.

And one more time,

Breathe in,

Breathing in gratitude and light and love.

And release out the stress,

Anxiety,

Sadness.
