Deanna,
Uninspired.
I invite you to come down,
To lie comfortably,
Close your eyes,
And as you lay here feel and imagine how gravity is gently pulling you into the earth.
Like a sweet hug from Mother Nature it is pulling you into its kind and safe embrace.
Laying here I invite you to feel that tug on every part of your body.
Notice how gravity's pull and your airy breath can move together.
Feel the natural rhythm of your breath here.
I invite you now to deepen the breath by moving into our three-parted breath practice.
We'll take a clearing breath to begin so I invite you to inhale as deeply as you can and then sigh it out.
We'll begin by sipping the air in on our next inhale,
Breathing in slowly,
Feel how the chest rises and at the top of the breath we'll pause here to notice the body.
And when you're ready as slowly as you can we'll exhale,
Release the breath,
Feel the chest lower back down into place.
And slowly sipping the air in again we'll breathe in this time sending the breath a little farther we'll feel the ribcage expand,
The chest rise and then here at the top we'll again pause to hold the breath and notice the body.
Feel any tension that needs to be released,
Any tightness.
When you're ready to exhale slowly as you can we'll let the air fall from our bodies,
The ribcage closes back in,
The chest lowers down.
And for one last time we'll send the breath a little deeper into the body this time inhale sip the air in all the way down into the belly,
Feel it inflate with your air then feel the ribcage open,
The chest rise and here we will pause,
Hold the breath,
Notice the body.
Now slowly as you can now releasing the breath feel the belly deflate,
The rib cage close back in,
And the chest lower down.
We'll continue breathing in this three-parted breath the belly,
The ribs,
The chest and continue releasing on every exhale until your limbs begin to feel so heavy,
Pulled down by Earth's gravity it's as if you couldn't move them even if you tried.
Your arms and legs are simply too heavy under gravity's weight.
As you're being hugged into the support beneath you I invite you to imagine that as you look up you can see a sky full of stars.
The night sky is illuminated by the shining specks of hope.
You can see constellations by the dozens and whole galaxies swirling above you.
The bright moon lies full and powerful and just like the earth the moon itself has a gravitational pull.
Bathe in its soft white light.
As the earth hugs you in tighter see if you can almost feel this planet we lay on spinning through this vast galaxy we look up upon.
And let us find an even deeper compassion for ourselves or in the vastness of this space we look out upon.
We as individuals have accomplished so much and impacted so many even though we are humbly small here.
The moon is now beginning to pull you in.
Feel your body grow lighter as the Earth's gravity gently releases you.
Experience its release and imagine that your body begins to float up towards the stars.
You rise up higher than the rooftops,
Than the trees,
Higher than the tallest skyscrapers so you may see their tiny lights floating up above the world into the clouds and even further.
Continue your three-part breath as the earth begins to shine before your eyes.
You continue to rise up until you can see the whole planet blue and green spinning through the stars.
You are now face to face with these unimaginably massive and vast celestial objects and you can feel your deep breath as you take it all in.
The moon's gravity continues to pull you in until you are right in front of it.
Its radiance covers you in its pure white light and you are sparkling right alongside every radiant star.
Feel this power,
The power of the moon the earth,
The stars,
The galaxy,
And the universe.
These energies coalesced here to create you and to create this life that you live.
The stars aligned in this perfect position and the universe does this because you are the universe experiencing itself.
You are one energy.
And from this shimmering bath of moonlight the earth welcomes you again and begins to pull you in for one last hug.
Slowly allow your body to fall back towards the earth,
Seeing the earth grow larger and larger in front of you until you pass through the clouds,
Slowly drift below the rooftops,
Fall beneath the trees,
And very gently land right where you begin.
Reconnect to the earth and feel its gravity pull you into the surface once again and as you look up you see these swirling galaxies that you stood among and I want you to feel that vastness of these galaxies as they swirl around your own heart.
Feel the stars light up your soul and know that when you are in this place connected to your body,
Your mind,
And your soul that you are one with this universe and these vast galaxies that lay above you also lie within.
You
