You're allowed to let go.
You're allowed to be free of the expectations of all that everyone else thought you should be.
You see,
Sometimes you wake up inside a dream,
And life is no longer what it seems.
The edges suddenly blurred of everything you thought you knew,
Until you woke up to live into a deeper truth.
And the truth is,
No matter how hard you try,
You just can't go back to sleep,
Though your mind relentlessly questions why.
You die into yourself again and again.
There's simply no more room to pretend.
Why can't I stay in this good enough life?
You toss and you turn as it keeps you up at night,
Years and thousands of dollars in courses and therapy.
You fought the good fight trying your best to see and to stay inside something that's changed.
Lately,
Internally,
You feel you've been rearranged.
It's okay to let go of your good enough life.
To come home to a deeper,
More true and alive insight.
To call in the life you dream to be true.
The one that finally fully welcomes all and every part of you.
Just know in the journey of letting it all go,
You'll come completely undone,
All your shadows and parts out to show you how you were complicit in living your dream.
How you both signed the unconscious agreement to keep each other unaware and fast asleep.
You'll reap what you sow and weep for the truths unspoken that built a wedge over time.
There will be days where everything is overwhelmingly not fine.
You'll meet your shame,
Your guilt,
Your fear and your regret.
Every action has a consequence and you'll be called to repay your debts.
The tricks of your mind will try to cloud you in doubt.
You'll forget your power and your purpose as your life turns inside out.
You'll wonder where you belong for what might feel like a debilitating amount of time.
But let your shadows claim you and keep your eyes wide for signs that you are not alone.
Spirit is here and has your respect.
Yes,
You should have claimed your truth and dared to be more bold and direct,
But don't fret.
You're allowed to let go and wonder if it was the right thing.
Sometimes letting go is the necessary catalyst for both of you to grow into who you were born to be.
For both of you to awaken to your blind spots and see how you were both not living to the full extent of your being.
It hurts,
I know.
It will leave scars along your heart.
But let them be stretch marks showing how in the end it broke you open to live with a wider open heart.
So thank each other for the journey.
Lay your prayers along the earth.
Forgive yourself for what you didn't know.
Know your death will eventually be a birth.
