Find a comfortable place.
You can sit.
Lie down.
Or simply settle in a way that feels supportive for you right now.
Allow your body to soften where it naturally can.
You may close your eyes.
You can let your gaze rest on a point in front of you.
Take a moment to arrive.
There is nowhere you need to be right now.
Nothing you need to accomplish.
For these next few minutes,
You're simply giving yourself permission to be here.
Begin to notice your breath.
Not changing it.
Not deepening it.
Noticing.
The gentle movement of the breath as it enters your body and leaves your body.
Notice where you feel your breath most clearly.
Maybe at the nostrils.
The chest,
The ribs.
The belly.
Perhaps somewhere else.
There is no right place to feel it.
Simply notice.
And as you breathe,
Allow yourself to remember.
You don't have to fix what you feel.
You can simply make space for it.
Notice what is here for you in the moment.
Maybe there is calm.
Maybe there is tension.
Maybe there is sadness,
Frustration.
Joy.
Restlessness or uncertainty.
Maybe you're not sure what you're feeling at all.
Whatever is here,
You don't need to name it perfectly.
You don't need to push it away.
And you don't need to make it different.
Imagine creating a little more space around whatever you're experiencing.
Like opening a window in a room.
Allowing some fresh air in.
Giving yourself room to breathe.
As you inhale.
Gently acknowledge I am here.
And as you exhale.
I can make space for this.
Again.
In hell,
I am here.
Exhale.
I can make space for this.
You may notice that emotions move and change.
Sensations come and go.
Thoughts appear and disappear.
You don't have to follow every thought.
You don't have to hold on to every feeling.
You can notice and return to your breath.
If something feels uncomfortable.
See if you can meet it with curiosity rather than judgment.
Instead of asking,
Why am I feeling this?
Perhaps simply notice.
This is what is here right now.
And remember that you are allowed to experience your emotions without becoming them.
You can feel sadness.
Without being sadness.
You can feel anxiety.
Without being anxiety.
You can feel overwhelmed.
Still find one small place within you that feels steady.
Come back to the feeling of your breath.
In hell arriving.
Exhale,
Leaving.
Nothing,
No force.
Nothing too perfect.
Just this breath.
In just this moment.
Perhaps place one hand somewhere that feels comforting,
Your heart there.
Your belly.
Your chest.
Or simply resting in your lap.
Feel the warmth and the weight of your hand.
And offer yourself the same kindness you may offer someone else you deeply care about.
You might quietly say to yourself.
I'm allowed to feel what I feel.
I don't have to have it all figured out.
I can give myself the space I need.
Take one more slow,
Big breath in.
And notice the ground beneath you.
The surface supporting your body.
Let yourself feel held by what is beneath you.
You don't have to hold on to everything.
All the time on your own.
As we begin to close,
Remember.
You can sit and return to this space whenever you need.
Not because you need to escape your emotions.
Because you can learn to sit beside them with compassion.
You can learn to hold them.
To breathe with them.
To make room for them.
And to trust that they can move through you in their own time.
Take a final gentle inhale.
And a long,
Easy exhale.
Begin to notice the space around you.
Where are you?
Notice any sounds.
The temperature on your skin surface.
Any sensation in your body.
Once again,
Notice the sensation of your breath.
Subtle movement within.
Maybe even the sound of your breath.
Sit up a little taller,
Or maybe you find a stretch.
Maybe a few wiggles of the toes,
The fingers,
Or any movement that you need right now to return.
Slowly open your eyes or lift your gaze a little wider.
Take your time.
There is no rush.
You are here.
You are allowed to be exactly where you are.
For this moment.
That is enough.
You are here.
You are allowed to be exactly where you are.
For this moment.
That is enough.
To settle into those words.
Settle into the present moment.
You may notice any shift within you.
Maybe the mind has quieted a little bit.
Maybe some tension in your body has softened.
Thank yourself for taking this time to pause and hold space for you.
