Bring your awareness to your breath.

Notice how it travels up and down your spine.

What does it feel like?

What does it sound like?

Does it have a taste?

Close your eyes and observe how it feels to be vulnerable.

Inhale.

And exhale.

You may find yourself being too reactive to minor situations.

You may not give yourself enough time to process your feelings.

From a young age you were taught not to cry or show emotion.

Notice how your chest feels.

Maybe it feels guarded from being let down one too many times.

Can you breathe into this space?

Notice the sensations.

Breathe in kindness.

Exhale compassion.

Notice if focusing on these words changes the sensation in your chest.

Just observe and listen.

What does your heart need right now?

Give yourself space.

Inhale.

And exhale.

Come back to your body.

Wiggle your fingers and your toes.

Take a twist if that's accessible.

Open your eyes if you had them closed.

Remember to check in with your emotional self throughout the rest of your day.

And know you can come back here anytime.

You don't need to check in again.
