Hey there,
I'm so glad you're here.
I am Kanae Corder,
The leading national certified counselor specializing in financial therapy for sleep and stress.
Now,
If you've been following me,
You might have seen some of my videos where I've been focusing on the four S's of self-care,
And that's silence,
Sound,
Stretching,
Soothing.
Now,
I did separate videos,
Silence.
And sound this one is stretching now this is going to be a little bit different because i don't know if you hear it already but I have the sound.
The fireplace now if that irritates you if you hear it too much then this might not be the video for you that's okay But if you like the sound of the fire,
Let's see,
Maybe turn it up.
I love the crackling of the fire,
And it kind of reminds me of coming home after a day and maybe on a winter day,
Right?
In Las Vegas,
Where I live when I'm in the U.
S.
,
I wouldn't have the fireplace on during the summer,
So it has to be winter.
But just turn on the fireplace.
And just be with the sounds of the fire and just stretch so that I can get all the stress out of my body.
Now,
I would normally do this for about 20 minutes,
But I'm going to show you today just five minutes of stretching.
I'm going to stretch whatever is calling out to me.
And I encourage you to stress stretch whatever is calling out to you.
So you're going to first just tune into your body because remember,
We're going to do this,
The soothing,
The soothing next.
But stretching first.
So where is your body calling you?
Just breathe and check in with your body.
And use your eyes open.
You can close your eyes.
Whatever is best for you.
But remember,
You're going to have an attitude of nonchalance.
It doesn't matter.
Don't think about it.
Force it.
No.
Just going to be.
Be yourself.
Suspense your beliefs on what this has to be,
Needs to be,
Who I even need to be.
Just connect.
Connect with me.
Connect with my voice.
Connect with yourself.
You do that by becoming comfortable.
Are you comfortable?
Are you comfortable checking in with your body?
Alright,
Let's do it.
And right now,
As I check in with my body,
It's actually calling for my lower back.
What are you here for you?
So what I am going to do for my lower back is I'm gonna stretch my hips.
So that means I'm gonna bring my feet into this chair.
Stretching my hips.
My hips open up.
Now,
I'm sitting in a chair.
You can sit wherever you like.
If you like to stretch on the floor,
I don't always like to stretch on the floor for many reasons.
Sometimes I do.
Sometimes I don't.
Today,
I'm doing it in a chair because this is where I feel most comfortable.
Now,
The first thing I'm doing is stretching my hips because that was what was calling out to me,
My lower back and hips.
And I might stress my lower back by leaning forward.
But I also can stretch my lower back,
My knee to the side.
Find what works for you.
What part of your body is calling out for you?
Remember,
This isn't like a professional stretch.
You don't have to be going by any rules.
You do want to be safe.
Keep your body safe.
But just listen to your body.
Maybe it's your upper back that needs that stretch.
When I'm stretching my upper back,
Sometimes I just.
.
.
Raise my shoulders and then I go side.
Aside.
Where do you hold your stress?
We've already spent.
.
.
Three or four minutes now.
On your body,
Stretching your body,
Caring for yourself.
Maybe you want to stretch your arms this is a good one for me i love this one My shoulders,
I just hold the weight of the world on my shoulders sometimes and I just have to let it go.
But you remember to breathe this whole time.
Remember.
Isn't about being professional it's not about about getting it right it is about listening to your body What is your body saying today?
Don't follow me,
Follow you.
What is your body asking for?
Listen.
I just spent four minutes stretching and listening to your body.
Another way that I like to stretch my back sometimes is chills.
To just.
.
.
Like pull my hips forward.
Shoulders in.
Squeeze.
Squeeze.
Squeeze.
And release.
Ah,
That felt good.
How about you?
Do you like that?
Good,
Because in this soothing,
I got something for you.
The next video is soothing.
If you haven't checked it out already,
You need to check it out.
Today,
We focused on stretching.
The silence is important.
The sound is important.
The stretching is equally important because we've got to stretch that.
Out everybody that stuff everybody else's stuff that you've been taking in especially if you're spongy like me Let it go.
Let it live.
Delete it from your body.
How does that feel?
Now you can do this for five minutes.
15 minutes or even longer if you like.
This is a time you can use your stretching,
Your yoga at this time.
Totally up to you.
Just focus on yourself.
Does that sound good or good?
I'll see you sooner.
Love you much,
Lee.
