Hello,
This is Carrie,
At Empowered Within.
And allow yourself to find that peaceful place where you can be free.
Free to imagine and pretend.
But first of all,
I wonder if you can pretend that you're a big rag doll.
Rag dolls are soft toys,
Limp and floppy.
See if you can make your left arm and hand,
Limp and floppy.
Now let's try your right arm and hand.
Let it drop gently onto your bed,
Lap or chair.
If you're really,
Really limp and floppy,
Then your hand will drop down like a wet dish cloth.
And now,
Take in a breath,
And as you exhale,
Feel your whole body becoming that rag doll.
Limp and loose.
And then in your mind,
Imagine and pretend that you're a young bird.
And that you've just learned to fly on your own.
You've been out with your mommy and daddy a few times.
And now,
Dear one,
It's time for an adventure.
And you're flying up into a lovely blue sky.
Your wings are flapping up and down.
As your body lifts up higher.
And higher.
And higher.
And the higher up you go,
The smaller everything below looks.
And yes,
The more comfortable you feel.
Knowing you are safe and secure.
Loved and adored.
And when you're as high as you want to go,
Then slow down a bit.
And take a look at the earth beneath you.
As you look down,
You can see that you're flying over a lovely field of yellow flowers.
Around the edge of the field is a row of trees.
And on the other side of the row of trees is a pretty stream.
You can hear the water.
Now because you are a bird,
You have very special eyesight.
And you can see right down into that stream,
You can see some tiny fish swimming around.
And some smooth round pebbles at the bottom of the stream.
And look,
There's some tiny black tadpoles darting here and there.
And growing out of the stream are some long,
Thin blades of grass and a few lily leaves.
And sitting on one of the lily leaves is a beautiful green frog looking up at you as it croaks.
Look around.
Notice what else you see.
Maybe a rabbit peeping out from behind one of those trees.
Or perhaps a grasshopper.
Or a ladybug.
And notice there's an ant scuttering across the grass.
As he's carrying something on his back.
And as you look down at all these little,
Wonderful creatures of nature,
You,
My friend,
Become very curious about what they're doing.
So you begin to fly down.
Flying back down to your nest.
To relax and gaze further.
You're going down now.
See and feel yourself going down.
And as your feet touch the nest,
An amazing thing happens.
You're back to yourself again.
And you notice how the little ladybug has changed into someone you know.
The rabbit has changed too.
And all your friends are here in this magical place.
Laughing,
Smiling,
Giggling,
Splashing in the water.
And life is good.
Life is truly a wonderful thing.
And so,
My friend,
As this process now comes to an end,
Know that you can open your eyes,
Bring your awareness back into this room,
Back into your body,
Feeling wonderfully refreshed and renewed.
Going about your day.
Having a wonderful day.
Therefore we are complete.
And this is wonder,
Blisse.
