Hello,
This is Carrie.
And I'd like for you to get really relaxed and comfortable.
You can lie back or even sit back.
Close your eyes.
And just notice how good it feels.
To relax.
I mean we're always busy.
Going here and going there.
Talking to people.
Playing,
Learning,
Maybe even studying.
And now it's time to just unwind.
To be quiet and still if you can.
And so while you're relaxing there,
I'd like for you to take in a few full belly breaths.
Really feel your belly fill up with air like a balloon.
And slowly let the air out.
Try that a few times.
And notice when you let the air out,
Let your body sink and soften.
Breathing out any worries,
Any concerns.
Letting go any anger or frustration that you might have.
So you can softly settle down.
And enjoy this time with me.
And so let's do something fun together.
Let's go build a sand castle on the beach.
I want you to imagine in your mind the most perfect beach for you.
What color is the sand?
What does the water look like?
Look at the sky.
Is it a clear blue?
Or are there a few puffy white clouds?
Do you see any birds?
Seashells?
Driftwood or seaweed?
And are you alone or is someone with you?
And breathe in deep and smell the salty sea air.
Watch the birds.
And notice the color of this sand bucket and shovel that you have.
And really feel the slight breeze on your skin.
Feel the sun as it warms your head,
Your face,
Your neck and shoulders.
And notice how good it feels to be here at this beautiful beach of yours.
And so let's build a sand castle.
Take your sturdy bucket and start to build.
Use your shovel.
And maybe you have a friend or a family member that can help you build this sand castle.
So it's even more fun.
And if you have a pet or you'd like to have a pet,
You can imagine one now.
There with you on the beach.
Keep building.
And notice as you fill the bucket with sand,
But if there's anything bothering you,
You can just imagine that it's going into that bucket.
And you're just letting it go.
For you deserve to feel good.
You're important.
You matter.
And you're good.
You're kind.
You're a very wonderful,
Unique person.
You deserve to be happy.
I want you to be happy.
And you have a really good heart.
So keep building that sand castle.
I want you to have lots of fun.
Now you know you can decorate it with shells or driftwood.
Even a feather from one of the birds.
And you might even have some toys with you.
Like a boat.
Or some action figures.
Or toy animals.
What kind of toys do you have?
And you can even make a circle around the sand castle.
And maybe fill it up with water.
Anything fun.
Really be creative.
And notice how good you feel as you build.
I think your sand castle is fabulous.
Just like you.
It makes my heart feel good.
To know you're having so much fun.
That you're doing so well.
And I want you to feel proud of yourself.
For I'm proud of you.
And I'll give you a few more minutes to just build.
Maybe you have a toy car.
And I want you,
Once your sand castle is built,
To play.
To get out your toys and play with the sand castle.
To laugh.
To smile.
And to feel really good inside.
Be as crazy and free as you like.
Be silly.
That's it.
And notice how much fun you're having.
It's such a perfect day.
The sun is warm.
The sand is soft.
And your heart is full of happiness and joy.
For you,
My friend,
You are loved and adored.
You are so special.
You are important.
You are.
You matter.
And you're important.
You're a gift to this world.
Always remember that.
For life is a gift.
And it's meant to be enjoyed and cherished.
Just like you.
And so imagine you have a camera or even a phone,
If you like.
And you can take a picture of your amazing sand castle.
Snap that picture.
Or if you like,
You can even take a video.
Good job.
And you know if you like,
You can still stay on this beach.
Having fun.
Drifting off into a peaceful nap or sleep.
Knowing that when you awaken and you open those beautiful eyes,
You'll feel relaxed.
You'll feel really good inside.
And so,
My friend,
Have a wonderful day.
Give a smile to the world and you'll get a smile back.
So enjoy.
And sweet dreams for now.
