Hi,
It's Kelly and today I'm going to guide you on a full moon meditation.
Full moon is a great opportunity to release anything in your life right now that you're holding onto that's not serving you.
So get in a nice comfortable position and if it feels right go ahead and gently close your eyes.
Let's start by connecting to our breath.
So start to notice your inhale.
Notice the subtle changes when you inhale.
Exhale the air,
Go through your nostrils.
Does your chest expand in your belly?
And then start to notice the subtle shift when you exhale.
If you start at your belly does your belly button drop back into your spine?
Do your lungs contract a bit?
Maybe your shoulders even drop.
For the next moment or so just become aware of the changes of your body when you connect to your breath.
So as I mentioned the full moon is an opportunity to release anything in your life that is not serving you.
I like to visualize the full moon as like a big bright flashlight and it's just shining on you.
What is something in your life that should be released?
Don't give this too much thought.
Usually the first things that come to mind are the best but just let something come to your mind that intuitively you know is not something that's meant for you.
It could be a habit,
A pattern,
A relationship,
Anything.
What are you releasing?
What do you not want to bring into the next month?
And there can be more than one thing.
Don't force yourself to come up with more than one but if there are a few things then by all means that's what you're supposed to release.
So now visualize yourself picking up a piece of paper and a pencil and write down,
Visualize yourself writing down what you are releasing.
Now take that piece of paper and fold it up.
Now visualize a big roaring fireplace.
Walk over to it and toss that piece of paper into the fire.
Touch that paper,
Burn and turn into ashes.
It is no longer.
Those words that you wrote,
The things you were releasing are no longer.
They've been turned to ashes.
Notice how you feel now.
Do you feel like you've released those things?
Do you feel a little bit lighter?
Just notice.
And when you're ready start to bring awareness back to your body.
Wiggle your fingers,
Your toes and then gently open your eyes.
Know that you can do what we just did.
You can do this right now.
You can go sit down,
Write down whatever it is you want to release.
You can tear it up,
You can burn it,
You can save it.
Maybe it helps you to save it to remind yourself of what you're releasing.
Do whatever feels right to you.
Just know you can release whatever is no longer serving you.
You do not need to hold on to it.
Thank you for meditating with me.
Have a great rest of your day.
